Wo solls derzeit herkommen?

Oded Bashan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of OTI, said: ``Our first quarter results are in line with OTI's strategy to focus on improved margins, reduction in operating expenses, specifically in R&D and G&A, and the continued focus on marketing and sales, all resulting in further decrease in the operating loss and in the level of cash burn. Our target is to further reduce operating expenses on a non-GAAP basis to reach $25 million annually.''

Following the disclosure made by the company in its 2008 annual results filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 24, 2009, on Form 6-K that the company may recognize an impairment charge against its goodwill and other intangible assets (amounting to $28.1 million), the company recently completed impairment testing as of December 31, 2008, according to which OTI will record a $25.6 million impairment charge, of which $24.2 million and $1.4 million for goodwill and intangible assets, respectively. The goodwill impairment charge was driven by the decline in OTI's stock price and the deteriorating global economy. The impairment charges are noncash accounting adjustment to the Company's balance sheet and profit and loss report, that do not affect cash flow, liquidity or OTI's non-GAAP results. The impairment charges will be reflected in OTI's audited GAAP financial consolidated results as of December 31, 2008 attached to Form 20-F to be filed with the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission and are reflected in the reports attached below.

Further to the disclosure made by the company in December 2008 regarding the share repurchase program, the Israeli District court approved the repurchase by the Company of its ordinary shares in a total amount of up to $2 million. OTI's Board of Directors will further discuss the program details, conditions and scope, all subject to regulatory requirements. However, as reported previously, the Company is not obligated to acquire any specific number of shares, and the program may be suspended or discontinued at any time.

FORT LEE, N.J. and ISTANBUL, Turkey, June 2, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On Track Innovations Ltd. (OTI) (NasdaqGM:OTIV - News), a global leader in contactless microprocessor-based smart card solutions for homeland security, payments, petroleum payments and other applications, today announced that it has been selected by E-Kent, a leading AFC (automatic fare collection) company in transportation in Turkey, to provide transportation payment solution, based on OTI's Smart Sticker product and Saturn 6000 contactless reader.

OTI's payment solutions enhanced E-Kent's newly adopted strategy that calls for making alternative distribution channels for E-Kent's main transportation payment vehicle. The initial contract is for a pilot in the Bursa, a city with a population of 2.5 million residents and is expected to grow to other cities in Turkey. OTI's payment solution offers a unique payment experience for mass transit. In Bursa, buses serving the area will be equipped with the new system which allows customers to use their cell phones or other mobile devices for both transit and payment.

In Bursa, payments by cell phone are enabled by OTI's contactless Smart Sticker. The sticker is an entirely self-contained, contactless payment device that adheres to multiple surfaces including mobile phones, PDAs and more. Payments are made by placing the smart sticker a few inches away from OTI's Saturn 6000 contactless reader.

OTI provides its Saturn 6000 contactless reader -- an exceptionally fast reader with built in encryption capabilities developed to address the specific needs of the global contactless markets and the enhanced security required in EMV markets. The Saturn 6000 is the first reader to be certified for EMV and ISO 14443 PayPass version 1.1 required by MasterCard starting this year. The Saturn 6000 contactless reader is a leading cost-to-performance contactless reader in the market today, certified by the major financial institutions.

Oded Bashan, Chairman and CEO of OTI, commented: ``We are pleased with E-Kent's decision to select OTI's payments suite of products for their transportation customers.''

Fort Lee, New Jersey, June 9, 2009 – On Track Innovations Ltd, (OTI) (NASDAQ-GM: OTIV), today announced that its subsidiary, PARX Ltd., is expanding its parking solution which includes the EasyPark in-vehicle electronic parking solution in Italy, with the addition of the northern municipalities of Asti, Bra and Rivarolo Canavese. All three municipalities are located in proximity to Turin, one of the largest cities in Italy. EasyPark was introduced by PARX and Neos Tech in Italy in late 2008 under the name Neos Park.

Roberto Russo, Bra’s Transportation Local Councilor commented: “Bra has decided to be among the first cities to adopt Neos Park in order to meet its citizens’ needs. Neos Park is a useful system with which one may pay only for the exact amount due, eliminating the need to look for coins and parking meters and getting rid of the anxiety of having to return to the car because the pre-paid time expires. It is a cost effective and a very convenient solution”.

Esther Cobos, CEO of Neos Tech S.r.l. commented: “In Alessandria, where Neos Tech first launched Neos Park, the system has quickly reached 5% penetration rate out of the vehicles in the city. In a survey conducted by Neos Tech, 100% of users described their experience with Neos Park as very positive, indicating among main benefits: “you save money”, “it’s practical and simple”, “you pay only for the exact time you park”, and more.”

Mrs. Cobos continued: “Through the use of advanced contactless payment technology we ensure more efficiency to parking operators and we simplify drivers’ life”.

Commenting on the expansion, Oded Bashan, OTI’s Chairman and CEO, said “Expanding PARX’s parking solutions to new municipalities is a testimony of the program’s success. The project in Italy is another step in our efforts to launch PARX’s parking solutions in various global markets. The project is based on our patented technology, offering a user friendly, easy to operate solution with a proven business case. The project in Italy demonstrates again our strategy of focusing on projects generating product sales followed by growing high-margin recurring revenues via transaction, licensing or royalty fees.”

Using Neos Park the driver pays only for the actual parked time. To activate Neos Park the driver turns on the contactless unit and places it in the car window. Upon returning, the driver turns the device off. This creates a uniquely convenient user experience by eliminating the need for cash, change, and saving the time looking for parking meters. Neos Park can be used for both on-street parking payments and for parking lots. Neos Park provides detailed reports to the municipality in order to better manage and monitor parking patterns across town. The parking system is able to support multiple rates, cities, tariffs in a modular, scalable and easy to implement way.

FORT LEE, N.J., June 22, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On Track Innovations (OTI) (Nasdaq:OTIV - News), a global leader in contactless microprocessor-based smart card solutions, today announced that it has received a follow-on order to supply its EasyFuel Fuel Management System to one of the largest container terminal operators in the southern part of China. The new installation, managed together with Armitage Technologies Ltd, the local system integrator for this project, comes after a successful pilot implementation which demonstrated that OTI's EasyFuel solution is relevant across a number of market sectors, including retail and commercial fueling as well as the industrial and mining sectors.

In a port environment, it is essential to ensure that all vehicles and plant equipment can be refueled on a timely basis and are operating efficiently. Quality fuel management reports are therefore critical in order to optimize the performance of vehicles and equipment.

In the new application of OTI's EasyFuel wireless solution, products have been customized to fit the harsh environmental conditions in the ports and to ensure the solution is reliable and durable and requires minimum long-term maintenance. The solution has been integrated with a Point-of-Sale (POS) system. The integrated solution is mounted on mobile bowsers and is used to control the dispensing of fuel into the plant equipment at any location in the port. With the plant equipment fitted with the EasyFuel VID (Vehicle Identification Device), nozzle-to-tank security is guaranteed at refuel, with vehicle operational data being automatically captured for subsequent management reporting.

A typical port site includes a large number of devices and equipment to automate the site. It can range between the equivalent of about 10-20 gas stations and about 1,000-5,000 vehicles, all depending on the size of the site and operation.

Oded Bashan, Chairman & CEO of OTI, commented, "We believe EasyFuel offers great value to many markets, including the refueling of immobile plant equipment. EasyFuel offers the perfect tool to gather, control and process information, and it is easy to implement and maintain in the different environments."

OTI's wholly owned subsidiary, OTI Africa, is responsible for implementation, training and support of this project.

EasyFuel is easy, quick and cost-effective to install and maintain and the solution enables a fast turnaround at the pump. The EasyFuel system has built-in benefits for oil companies, commercial fleet operators, financial institutions, and private motorists. The oil companies build loyalty with fleet companies via long-term contracts, as well as with private motorists. The OTI solutions are easily integrated into existing hardware and software systems. The system allows for 24-hour non-attendant sales, as well as greater in-store purchases. Fleet companies eliminate non-authorized fueling and receive comprehensive billing and detailed operating information. The financial institutions benefit from new transaction fees and greater cash flows. Retail customers receive 24-hour, fast, cashless service and loyalty program rewards.

The completion of this stage allows OTI to accelerate the direct revenues generated from transaction fees which are expected to aggregate more than $10 million over the next 5 years.

Oded Bashan, Chairman and CEO of OTI, commented: "This project strengthens OTI's position as a professional and efficient operator, by meeting and exceeding the city's requested timetable."

was meint Ihr dazu?
