Die SCM Microsystems Inc. (ISIN US7840181033/ WKN 909247) erzielte nach vorläufigen Berechnungen auch im vierten Quartal 2005 höhere Umsätze als ursprünglich vorhergesagt. Wie der Anbieter von Lösungen für den gesicherten Zugang zur digitalen Welt am Mittwoch mitteilte, erlöste er in den Monaten Oktober bis Dezember 14,2 Mio. bis 14,4 Mio. Dollar. Bisher hatte SCM mit einem Umsatz zwischen 10 Mio. und 13 Mio. Dollar gerechnet. Das Unternehmen profitierte insbesondere von der starken Nachfrage nach TV-Zugangsmodulen aus Südkorea, die im Schlussquartal die Erwartungen des Managements übertraf. Ferner dürfte SCM im Schlussquartal 2005 eine Bruttomarge im unteren Bereich der avisierten Spanne von 38 bis 41 Prozent sowie einen operativen Fehlbetrag erzielt haben. Die liquiden Mittel sollten sich zum Jahresende auf 32,4 Mio. Dollar belaufen, was einem Rückgang um 3,3 Mio. Dollar gegenüber dem Vorquartal entspricht. Die detaillierten Finanzergebnisse für das Geschäftsjahr 2005 veröffentlicht SCM, sobald der nach US-Recht vorgeschriebene Jahresbericht (Form 10-K) bei der Börsenaufsichtsbehörde United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) eingereicht ist. Der späteste Termin hierfür ist der 16. März 2006. Gestern fielen die Aktien an der Nasdaq um 0,92 Prozent und schlossen bei 3,22 Dollar. |

Koepf, 64, brings more than 35 years of experience in technology company management to SCM's board. He has an extensive background in engineering, sales and business management with leading technology companies in Europe. After beginning his career at Siemens, he worked for 22 years at Texas Instruments,where he rose to become vice president of the European Semiconductors Group. In his former position as vice president of the International Systems Division, Koepf was responsible for all of Texas Instruments' data systems and consumer business outside the U.S., including calculators, home computers and learning aids. From 1989 to 1993, he served as chairman and CEO of European Silicon Structures, an ASIC manufacturing company founded by a consortium of European technology companies. From 1993 until his retirement in 2002, Koepf held various senior management positions at Compaq Computer, most recently as CEO and chairman for Compaq Computer, EMEA and as Executive Chairman, Compaq Computer International. He holds a bachelor's degree with honors in electrical engineering from the Technical College in St. Poelten, Austria and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Munich.
Koepf currently serves on the board of several technology companies, including telent plc (formerly Marconi Corporation plc), Gemplus International SA and PXP Software AG. He also serves as an advisor to venture capital firms Techno Venture Management GmbH and Invision AG.

Koepf blickt auf eine mehr als 35-jährige Karriere bei führenden Technologieunternehmen zurück.
Nach dem Beginn seiner beruflichen Laufbahn bei Siemens arbeitete Koepf 22 Jahre lang für Texas Instruments, wo er zum Vizepräsidenten der European Semiconductors Group aufstieg. In den Jahren 1989 bis 1993 hatte der heute 64-jährige die Ämter des CEO und Aufsichtsratsvorsitzenden der European Silicon Structures S.A. inne, eines auf ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) spezialisierten Unternehmens. Von 1993 bis zum Jahr 2002 war Koepf für den US-Konzern Compaq tätig, zuletzt als CEO und Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender der Compaq Computer EMEA sowie als Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender der Compaq Computer International.
Der führungserfahrene IT-Manager bekleidet derzeit bereits verschiedene Aufsichtsratsmandate bei mehreren Technologieunternehmen. Hierzu zählen die telent plc (früher Marconi Corporation plc), Gemplus International SA sowie die PXP Software AG. Zudem ist Koepf als Berater für die Invision AG sowie für das Venture Capital Unternehmen Techno Venture Management GmbH tätig.

ja, du hast schon recht...zukunft spielt die musik ;-)
aber dennoch gibt das den einen oder den anderen aktionär etwas sicherheit, zu wissen, ob scm endlich mal schwarze zahlen schreibt für das jahr 05.
denn sowas änhliches habe ich schon öfter von anderen jahren gelesen: ...vorläufigen Berechnungen auch im 4. Quartal 2005 mit 14,2 bis 14,4 Millionen US-Dollar höhere Umsätze als ursprünglich vorhergesagt. Bisher hatte SCM mit einem Umsatz zwischen 10 und 13 Mio. US-Dollar gerechnet...
