Voom has announced its partnership with Cabify to deliver a seamless ground-to-air travel experience in Mexico City. The partnership – named “Cabify Air”- is committed to delivering the most seamless and convenient travel experience in one of the world’s most congested cities.

Mexico City is notorious for its congested roadways. In fact, the city ranked #1 in terms of road congestion in the world according to the 2017 TomTom Traffic Index. Accordingly, there is a tremendous opportunity to develop new mobility solutions in the city. Voom + Cabify are introducing one such model by letting customers take to the skies to avoid road traffic. With its pooling technology, Voom is able to offer flights for 80–90% less than traditional helicopter services. As a result, helicopter flights are now a viable and affordable solution to those looking to escape city traffic, particularly those who are travelling to the city’s airports.

Cabify and Voom are both on a mission to build the cities of the future, which includes new and innovative models of transportation. The two companies launched a similar partnership in São Paulo, Brazil in 2017. Given the success of the partnership in that city, the companies have extended the service to Mexico City.

Queen.gr is a wildly popular and influential women’s entertainment and lifestyle publication, providing a provocative, insightful and empowering digital experience for its readers.
Viber has a massive and engaged female user presence in Greece, so Queen.gr sought to cultivate an all-in-one digital home for them and their readers to communicate in a 1-to-1 manner. From user acquisition to content marketing and retention, they wanted to build a personal and authentic experience for old and new fans.

Queen.gr launched a Public Account, featuring a Sticker Pack and bot experience, to provide meaningful conversation and engagement with followers.

Of course, when dealing with personalised advertising the questions surrounding personal data always surface. In Viber’s case, it has no need to worry about data issues – because messages are end-to-end encrypted, and no data is stored or sold to third parties.

How Lyft’s bike-share investment might change how we get around cities

Buying the nation’s largest bike-share operator a big bet on becoming the “Amazon of transportation”
By Patrick Sisson Jul 3, 2018, 1:00pm EDT

“The idea was to have an important impact on our world, and how our cities were designed,” John Zimmer, co-founder and president of Lyft, told NPR during an interview examining the beginnings of the company. Initially a carpool service focused on the university market that went by the name of Zimride, Lyft emerged, like many such companies, in a cloud of optimism. Zimmer also spoke of a college class at Cornell about business and environmental impact that made an oversized impression.
It’s important to keep this in mind when evaluating Lyft’s big move into the bike-sharing market. Yesterday, the ridehailing giant purchased Motivate, which operates the nation’s largest bike-sharing fleets, including Citi Bike in New York City and Divvy in Chicago, for a rumored $250 million.
While Lyft positions itself as the friendlier, more community-minded ride-hailing company—easy to do with Uber’s recent string of mistakes—the reality, especially for the drivers, is that both companies are fairly similar. But this week’s decision to branch out to bike share in a big way offers Lyft the opportunity to become a different type of transportation company, maybe even one that could start to realize Zimmer’s early ambitions.

Cabify shoots its business in Spain and multiplies its income by four, up to 72.9 million
Cabify gains ground in Spain.

The Spanish group concluded the year 2017 with a turnover of 72.96 million euros in its local market , that is, four times more than the turnover recorded in the previous year, as recorded in the last accounts deposited in the Commercial Register . The group attributes the progress of its business to the " penetration of the market share in all the cities where the company operates (Madrid, Barcelona, Malaga, Seville and Valencia.) Also, the company highlights that" the average workforce of the year it was 284 employees, 161% higher than the previous year ". At the close of the fiscal year, Cabify's workforce consisted of 183 workers and 112 workers, all of whom were permanent, accounting for a total of 295 employees. Personnel expenses amounted to 11.59 million euros, compared to 4.02 million euros the previous year. In the same period, the company recorded losses amounting to 3.67 million euros , a slight increase of 3% compared to the result of the previous year, when it lost 3.56 million euros. The gross operating profit (EBITDA) of Maxi Mobility Spain, one of the companies with which Cabify operates in Spain, was negative, of 5.14 million euros.

Can you give us an overview of Rakuten’s current position in Europe?

Europe has always been a core market for Rakuten. We’ve been active in the region for nearly a decade. More than 15 Rakuten companies are based here, including PriceMinister-Rakuten, Rakuten.de, Rakuten TV, Rakuten Viber, Rakuten Marketing, Rakuten Aquafadas and Rakuten Fits Me – and some of our biggest investments, including Glovo, Cabify and Currency Cloud, have been made in Europe.
We have a long history – but it’s only since we started to unify our brands around the Rakuten name, and launched our partnership with FC Barcelona last year, that people really started to recognize the extent of our presence and our commitment to the region.

Rakuten, who has built a vast network of services around e-commerce, video streaming, and financial services, will leverage Rakuten Coin via its messaging app in order to lead its users to help spend money across its various services.

The messaging app, which has a monthly active audience of 45 million users in Russia, plans to launch an e-commerce platform in the country in Q4 2018. Agaoua told reporters that Rakuten Coin will be available in Viber and can be traded in exchange for the U.S. dollar, Euro, and the Russian Ruble, according to Russian News Agency Tass.

Es verdichten sich die Informationen zum Rakuten Coin, der sich auch in Viber integrieren lassen soll. Bereits 2019 soll der Viber Token zumindest in Russland online sein.
https://news.bitcoin.com/...p-considering-support-for-a-native-token/
