Internet Capital Group Announces Third Quarter 2002 Results; Core Company Revenues and Operations Improve

WAYNE, Pa., Nov 7, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Internet Capital Group, Inc. (ICGE) today reported its results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2002.

"Although we continue to operate with a very difficult macro environment as our backdrop, we remain focused on actions that will ultimately drive stockholder value," said ICG Chairman and CEO, Walter Buckley. "We continue to execute against our main priorities of driving our partner companies toward becoming cash flow positive and directing our resources toward those companies we feel can create the most long-term value."

The Company reported net income of $13 million or $0.05 per share, compared to a net loss of $238 million or $0.86 per share in the corresponding period in 2001. This improvement was driven principally by $48 million of gains associated with ICG's repurchase of outstanding convertible notes, stronger performance at Core companies, and the disposition of partner companies with operating losses. Other contributing factors include reductions in non-cash asset impairment charges and goodwill amortization.  

Trotz des aktuell stark fallenden Gesamtmarktes hat sich
die Aktie in der letzen halben Stunde stabil bei ca. 0,62 gehalten.

Ich steige dann mal mit einer 1. Zock-Position ein.
Tradingziel 0,90/0,96 Euro.
Das Teil ist zwar ziemlich spekulativ, allerdings
sind auch in Frankfurt gute Umsätze vorhanden, so
daß das Aussteigen kein Problem darstellen sollte.
