Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (LEH)

"Lehman, Lehman, LEHMAN!" wird gerne im Munde geführt! - Nur, dass diese "Hinterlegungs-Geschäfte", die diese auf STAATS-Ebene wurschtelnden NOTEN-Banken weiterhin feist ganz munter treiben, eigentlich REPO-Deals sind, kann man leider immer weniger lesen - seit man ausgerechnet denen LEHMAN Brothers, die im Vergleich zu denen NOTEN-Banken ein wahrer ZWERG-Pinscher in REPO-Deals waren, gerade eben diese REPO-Deals vorwarf:

Europas Banken verwundbar wie nach der Lehman-Pleite

"Die Bank für internationalen Zahlungsausgleich (BIZ) malt ein düsteres Bild von der Lage der Bankenbranche. Der Zustand ähnele dem nach dem Kollaps von LEHMAN Brothers. Die Bilanzen müssten umgehend saniert werden.

Frankfurt - Die europäischen Banken drohen wegen des mangelnden Vertrauens der Finanzmärkte in einen Teufelskreis zu geraten. Sie müssten immer größere Teile ihrer Anlagebestände als Sicherheit anbieten, um noch Käufer für neue Anleihen anzulocken, warnte die Bank für internationalen Zahlungsausgleich (BIZ) in ihrem am Sonntag veröffentlichten Jahresbericht. Doch das ginge im Fall einer Pleite zulasten der unbesicherten Gläubiger und mache daher besicherte Schuldtitel umso begehrter.

"Und wenn sich private Mittelgeber aus den Märkten zurückziehen, setzen die Banken Sicherheiten ein, um sich verstärkt über die Zentralbank zu refinanzieren, womit sie ihre Bilanzen noch mehr belasten", beschreibt die Baseler "Zentralbank der Zentralbanken" das Dilemma. Dies mache die Geldhäuser noch verwundbarer für externe Schocks.


Nach Branchenschätzungen sei im vergangenen Jahr ein FÜNFTEL aller Aktiva der Banken in Europa hinterlegt worden, um an neue Refinanzierungsmittel zu kommen - unter anderem von NOTEN-Banken, erklärte die BIZ. Bei den griechischen Banken sei es sogar ein DRITTEL.
Bei Banken in Irland, Italien und Portugal habe sich der Anteil belasteter Aktiva von 2005 bis 2011 VERDOPPELT"...
