ISLAMABAD: The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) will start recording evidence on October 10 on Pakistan’s plea against the Tethyan Copper Company (TCC) for procuring a mining licence of Reko Diq through corrupt means.

Attorney-General Ashtar Ausaf Ali will represent the government before the international arbitration centre, which will resume the hearing in the French capital Paris.

“Our (contention) is that the agreement /mining licence was procured by corrupt means … therefore, the claimant (TCC) cannot ask for damages,” the attorney-general told The Express Tribune.

Another senior official said that Pakistan’s legal team would furnish documents proving the state’s contention.

Citing a Supreme Court decision, he said that the apex court clearly maintained that TCC attempted to take undue advantage of political instability at that time.

In January 2013, the Supreme Court had declared void the Chagai Hills Exploration Joint Venture Agreement signed between the Balochistan government and Australian mining company BHP in 1993. After which BHP sold its stakes in the venture to the TCC.

Subsequently, the TCC approached ICSID against Pakistan claiming a loss of investment amounting to $400 million. Its damages claim is still pending. Efforts were later initiated for an out-of-court settlement.

But no such settlement could be struck during the tenure of the former chief minister of Balochistan, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch

A senior Balochistan government official told The Express Tribune that efforts were still being made for an out-of-court settlement between provincial government and TCC.

RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR

Sabri Karahan has stepped down as a director of Colt Resources Inc., effective immediately. Mr. Karahan had been a non-executive director and the chairman of the company's technical committee since April, 2015.

Mr. Karahan will continue to engage with the company as a technical adviser and advise the company on technical matters.

Nikolas Perrault, president and chief executive officer, stated: "On behalf of the board and management of the company, I would like to thank Sabri for his dedication and significant contributions to Colt. We have been fortunate to work with someone of Sabri's calibre on both the board and technical committee. We look forward to continuing to work with Sabri on a consultancy role and appreciate his continued support to the company."

das war nicht die NEWS auf die wir alle schon seit 3 Jahren warten, aber das erklärt warum der Kurs nicht steigt (außer man kauft diesen 2-3 Tage hoch).
Kann colt zur Zeit keine besseren NEWS liefern, ich denke irgend ein Monsterprojekt läuft nicht so wie gewünscht und es müssen Gehälter eingespart werden?  

bin ich bei dir Wieni, ich erwarte auch andere News und keine von Rücktritten...;-))

Gehälter? Meinst du jeder Direktor kriegt ein Gehalt?  

....für Wienbesucher ist der Rücktritt von Sabri Karahan dafür verantwortlich dass der Colt-Kurs nicht steigt!!!! So wichtig ist doch dieser Mann für Colt nicht, - oder bin ich da auf dem Holzweg?  

Natürlich nicht, die wollen alle Optionen da verdient man im Falle eines Erfolges wesentlich mehr!

Daran liegt ja auch "unsere" Hoffnung dass alles gut werden wird!

Die Hoffnung bleibt bei uns Aktionären bis zum Schluss erhalten  

man mit Optionen mehr. Die sind im Regelfall 30 % teurer.????????  

warum negativ denken, wenn man den Rücktritt positiv sehen möchte... dann kam er aufgrund der gemaahten Wiesn der der gute Herr bereitet/zurückgelassen hat, sozusagen nach getaner Arbeit ;-). Jetzt da Alles vorbereitet ist, wartet man nur noch auf "den" Startschuss !

mit Finders fees verdient man mMn leichter ;)  

aber nichts mit Options zu tun!  

aber mir ist das auch egal, Hauptsache colt bringt mal irgend ein Projekt "in Kürze" zum laufen, nicht dass das Geld mal knapp wird, denn auch die Geldgeber wollen mal Profit haben und Ergebnisse sehen.
Wir wissen schon, dass der Weinberg nicht alles ist, und in die hoffnungsvolle "Black Box" müssen wir Aktionäre Vertrauen, obwohl diese Länder alles andere als vertrauenswürdig sind, mMn.

Vom NEWS Letter Startschuss in regelmäßigen Abständen wurde ja schon seit 2 Jahren hier geschrieben, passiert ist bisher noch nichts, was den Kurs betrifft.

Mir auch klar, dass solch ein (Elefanten) Projekt nicht in einem Jahr funktioniert, aber in 3 Jahren müsste man schon mal Ergebnisse bekommen!

Also warten wir geduldig weiter!  

Bis zur Block Box "ColtME" geh ich noch gar nicht mal.

Mir würde ja schonmal reichen, wenn es ein Update zu Portugal und hier speziell zu Tabuaco und Boa Fe gäbe. Boa Fe sollte laut Colt-HP noch in 2016 in Produktion gehen, Tabuaco in 2017.
Da man nichts davon hört (also auch nichts wegen Verzögerungen) gehe ich davon aus dass alles nach Plan läuft....

(gegen diese Länder vom ColtME - Projekt, ist die Slowakei, mMn ein Waisenkind in sachen Korruption)

Warten wir auf Tabuaco und Portugal und bei ColtME lassen wir uns mal "positiv" überraschen!

 

Jetzt sind 1,5 Mio. shares in Übersee gehandelt, lässt sich ganz gut an der Dienstag ;-)) !

Hat meiner Meinung nochmal günstig zu geschlagen, lange wird es nicht mehr so bleiben, aber warten wir einfach ab wer Recht hat
