Nokia, das Comeback 2012 ......................

Ich habe soeben nur per Zufall mitbekommen, dass ihr hier über das Billionen-Apple-Forum und meine Rolle dort streitet. Ja, es ist schon traurig, wie aggressiv die dortige Gemeinde auf jede Form von Kritik an Apple reagiert. Seit gestern bin ich deshalb ausgeschlossen.

Ich behaupte ja nicht, den Stein der Weisen zu besitzen, sondern mache mir so meine Sorgen über die größte Firma der Welt mit ihrem Mini-Produktportfolio, ihrer lausigen Informationspolitik und der Missachtung ihrer Aktionäre (was ich zum Glück nicht bin, nur Long-Spieler). Das gilt dort als Blasphemie. Dabei bin ich ja grundsätzlich von Apple überzeugt; sonst wäre ich ja nicht Long.

Verblüffend ist, welchen Hass man auf sich zieht, wenn man das "Pfeifen im Wald" von Jüngern irgendeiner Ideologie als solches benennt.  

Apple ist heilig und TC macht alles richtig. Auch konstruktiv argumentierende  Kritiker haben keine Ahnung, da kannst du noch so investiert sein.

Mglw. kommt XL`s Jubeltruppe aus Nordkorea. Bin gespannt, wer als nächster vom Zensor gemaßregelt wird.    

Kannst froh sein, dass man dich nicht als Zwangsarbeiter in einen Applestore steckt.

Was soll eigentlich dieses Geschwätz von Nokia, dem "Patent-Troll"?

Nokia hat geforscht und Patente entwickelt, warum soll Nokia dieses Wissen nicht verkaufen dürfen?

Dann wäre das deutsche Fraunhofer Institut auch ein Patent Troll, denn es vergibt auch Lizenzen ohne eigene Fabriken.

(PS: WernerGg ist kein 'Longie', er hat OS, die Januar 2015 auslaufen. Wie realistisch seine Aussagen sind, davon sollte sich jeder selber ein Bild machen. Und Dein Gezeter hier über Apple zeugt m.E. eher von der Schwäche Nokias nach dem Verkauf der Smartphone Sparte, und Deiner Sorge, wie es weiter - denn eigentlich sollte Dir Apple ziemlich egal sein - Apple und Nokia sind nicht in derselben Peer Group.)  

Ich sehe: noch immer derselbe Frustkommentator. ;-)

Du kannst natürlich den Kursverlauf von Apple und Nokia der letzten zwei Jahre herauspicken, und Dich dann an 100% Anstieg bei Nokia durch den Elop'schen Ausverkauf der Handy/Smartphone Sparte an Microsoft 'erfreuen'.

Wenn Du aber einen realistischen Vergleich machen möchtest, solltest Du einen längeren Zeitraum betrachten. Und da ich Deine 'kreative' Diskussionsweise kenne, habe ich mir explizit für Dich die Mühe gemacht, und beide Charts gegenüber gestellt.

Nun: welche Aktie hat dem Besitzer Gewinn gebracht - und welche nicht? Bin sicher: Du wirst es sehen! ;-]

Meine Güte, das wird ja immer peinlicher:

a. bist Du nicht bei Apple Long, Du hast OS mit Laufzeit bis Januar 2015,
b. hast Du seit Monaten im Apple Forum stets dieselben Thesen eingeworfen - nein, dieselben Thesen x-Mal diskutieren zu wollen ist nicht sinnvoll,
c. wurdest Du schnell beleidigend (sich immer hinterher zu entschuldigen ist dann kaum glaubwürdig) und wurdest mehrfach vor der Sperre verwarnt,
d. ist es schon erstaunlich, wie Du Dich hier als Unschuldslamm darstellst.

Du solltest bitte hier bleiben, und mit börsianer1 weiter diskutieren. Da er sich sogar hier im Nokia Thread an Apple abarbeitet, und Du gerne dieselben drei Themen diskutierst, dürftet ihr beide viel Spaß haben. ;-)


 

Na ja, all-in ist m.E. nie eine gute Idee. :-)

Ansonsten bin ich positiv überrascht, wie gut sich Nokia bisher gehalten hat. Ich hätte deutlich größere Kursrückgänge erwartet, aber anscheinend ist die Basis der Aktionäre vom neuen Nokia stärker überzeugt, als ich vermutet habe. Drücke allen die Daumen, dass das nach dem Vollzug des Deals so bleibt - und vielleicht sogar mehr Zug nach oben entsteht, wenn der Deal erst einmal über die Bühne gegangen ist.

(@börsianer1: da Nokia oftmals Standardrelevante Patente (FRAND) besitzt, ist für Erhöhungen der Gebühren nach oben eine Grenze gegeben. Wenn sie der Meinung sind, dass mehr Geld herauszuholen ist, dann könnte man das als Eingeständnis sehen, dass sie bisher nicht effektiv herausgeholt haben, was möglich gewesen wäre. Dass Nokia nun ein Patenttroll wird, ist m.E. nicht zu erwarten.)

(Reuters) - India's Supreme Court on Friday dismissed Nokia's appeal challenging a lower court order over transferring ownership of its local mobile phone plant, which is the subject of a tax dispute, to Microsoft Corp .

The Supreme Court upheld a verdict by the Delhi High Court and ordered Nokia to give a guarantee for 35 billion rupees ($572.5 million).

Nokia, which is selling its mobile phones business to Microsoft in a 5.4-billion-euro ($7.52 billion) deal, last month appealed to the Supreme Court saying the Delhi High Court had imposed "new conditions" over the transfer of the plant, after previously lifting a freeze on the assets.  

Wird interessant werden, ob der deal in den nächsten 11 Handelstagen noch über die Bühne gehen kann.

(Reuters) - India's Supreme Court on Friday ordered Nokia to give a 35 billion rupees ($572.5 million) guarantee before it transfers one of its biggest mobile phone plants and other assets in the country to Microsoft Corp.

The ruling upheld a lower court verdict over the plant in Chennai, which is the subject of a tax dispute, and had been challenged by the Finnish company.

Nokia's case is one of several high-profile tax disputes involving foreign companies in India. Vodafone Group Plc, IBM and Royal Dutch Shell Plc are among foreign firms contesting local tax claims.

Nokia, which is selling its mobile phones business to Microsoft in a 5.4 billion euro ($7.5 billion) deal, last month appealed to the Supreme Court saying the Delhi High Court had imposed new conditions over the transfer after previously lifting a freeze.

The deal, which will allow Nokia to shift its focus to network equipment, is expected to close by the end of this month and Nokia had been keen for a ruling before then.

Nokia did not immediately comment after the Supreme Court verdict on Friday.

Nokia had agreed at the Delhi High Court to set aside 22.5 billion rupees in an escrow account while it fights the Indian tax authority's claims in court.

But it was also asked to give a guarantee for 35 billion rupees more, which the company has said will restrict its ability to contest the tax claims locally and internationally.

The Chennai plant is one of Nokia's biggest phone-making factories and the company says it employs 8,000 people.

If the plant is not allowed to be transferred, Nokia can run it as a contractor to Microsoft but not for long, the Finnish company's lawyers have previously said in court hearings.

Nokia was served with a tax demand of about 20.8 billion rupees last year in March. Including the anticipated liability, interest and penalty, the bill could total 210 billion rupees, a lawyer representing the tax office said in December.

BEIJING (IT-Times) - Zuletzt kursierten Berichte, wonach Nokia für sein Android-basiertes Nokia X bereits eine Million Vorbestellungen in China verzeichnet hat. Diese Berichte könnten sich als übertrieben entpuppen.

Die Daten basieren allerdings auf eine Aktion des chinesischen Online-Händlers JD.com, der eine  Seite für Vorbestellungen des Nokia X in China eingerichtet hat, so der Branchendienst WMPowerUser. Interessierte konnten sich über einen „Vorbestell-Button“ vormerken lassen, um an einen Gewinnspiel rund um das Nokia X teilzunehmen. Jedoch sind diese Vorbestellungen offenbar nicht verbindlich. Offiziell auf den Markt kommen wird das Nokia X in China erst am 25. März 2014.  (ami)
 

sehr seltsam an rund um Nokia und den Deal. Jetzt sind es nur mehr 7 Handelstage bis der Deal spätestens über die Bühne gehen muss und man liest so gut wie nichts wie der Stand der Dinge ist. Das Problem in Indien ist so present wie nie zuvor und hier zeichnet sich keine Lösung ab. China hat auch noch nicht das OK gegeben und andere Hersteller haben ihre Benken zum Deal gemeldet.


May have to cut headcount in Chennai: Nokia to workers

A Nokia showroomFinnish mobile maker Nokia has told workers at the Sriperumbudur factory, near Chennai, it might have to slash their number.

The workers’ union has said it will take steps to protect the employment of around 8,000 people, half being women.

On Wednesday, the union and the management had an hour-long meeting here and discussed the fate of the factory and its employees.

The plant was to be transferred to Microsoft before March 31 as part of a euro 5.44-billion deal.

Lat week, the Supreme Court asked Nokia to give a Rs 3,500-crore (Rs 35-billion) guarantee before transferring one of its biggest plants globally, which is also under an income tax dispute.

The order upheld an earlier verdict by a lower court.

President of Nokia India Thozhilalar Sangham M Saravana Kumar, who represented the workers in the meeting, said, “The management said it hasn’t got any update from Microsoft or its seniors on the deals.

"The management also said it may reduce number of workers in the factory since order flow has slowed.”

“Three months ago, the company reduced the number of shifts from three to two,” he added.

Nokia officials and its spokesperson did not comment on any of the issues.

Kumar said, “We told them there is no question of cutting workforce and we will take any step to protect our jobs.”

The union is also planning to approach the state government requesting it to interfere in the matter, as labour is a state subject.

Sources in the company confirmed the number of shifts was reduced to two but it was not related to slowdown.

The move was to balance operations between plants across the world.

The Sriperumbudur factory currently employees around 8,000 people directly and another 25,000 indirectly.

Wenn man dem Glauben schenken darf, dann weis Nokia auch nicht so recht was Microsoft vorhat und man ist geneigt zu denken, Microsoft überlegt sich einen Plan "B".

Die Kommunikation zwischen Nokia und MS scheint nicht die beste zu sein. Könnte mir gut vorstellen, dass hier im Hintergrund schon die Drähte heiß laufen.

Jedenfalls darf man gespannt sein, wie die Geschichte nun voran geht.

Zumindest besteht die Möglichkeit, dass sich MS das mit dem Deal vielleicht doch anders überlegt. Nokia hat mit der Fabrik in Indien die Auflagen nicht erfüllt und der Vorstoß mit den auf Android basierenden Handys wird MS sicher auch nicht schmecken.

 

Stimmt: irgendwie hört man darüber nix mehr. Ich würde mich ja freuen, wenn der Deal doch noch platzen würde. Nokia baut Androiden, greift sich 30% des Umsatzes von Samsung, und überlebt.

Und nebenher wird Elop zum Mond geschossen. ;-)

Und erstaunlich ist auch, dass hier keiner mehr was sagen möchte - und das trotzdem doch vor drei Monaten alle hier vor Optimismus strotzten? War wohl doch eher Großkotzerei. ;-)

Und Börsianer1 ist es auch langweilig hier im Nokia Thread, er stinkt lieber im Apple Universum herum - tja, hat er wohl ein falsches Pferd geritten.

 

Wo mag wohl der Kurs stehen wenn der Deal platzt?  

um die 3 Euro wäre realistisch vorerst. Problem ist sicherlich, dass man den smartphone Bereich sicherlich schleifen hat lassen in den letzten Monaten. Warum Geld investieren in etwas, was bald weg ist.

Im Handy Geschäft hätte Nokia keine Chance mehr. Egal ob mit Andoid oder ohne.

Interessant ist auch, dass MS ihre WP8 Lizenzen jetzt verschenkt.

Irgendwas ist faul im Staate Dänemark.  

bleibt wohl kaum was anderes übrig als verschenken. Kaum einer will WP, wer zahlt für sowas auch noch Lizenzgebühr.Sie hätten eigentlich nie Geld für die Lizenz verlangen dürfen um das Systen überhaupt voranzubringen.
Insofern waren Sie auch keine Wohltäter wenn Sie Nokia eine Platform fee als Ausgleich für die Lizenz zu überweisen. Trotzdem war das ein mehr als schlechter Und teurer Deal für NOK.

dass sie ja nicht die bösen sind. Wenn der deal platzt, sollte man unbedingt short sein. Da gibts viel Kohle zu holen.

NOKIA: Nokia files writ to protest Tamil Nadu tax department claim


Espoo, Finland - Nokia has today filed a writ to the Madras High Court to contest a claim from the Tamil Nadu tax department, which has moved to assess sales tax on the export of devices from the company's Chennai facility.

Nokia considers the claim to be completely without merit and counter to domestic tax laws. In India, exports are by law exempt from tax, and Nokia has proved consistently that devices produced at Chennai are exported abroad. Indeed, the company has been regularly assessed and audited by the tax authorities since 2006 without incident, and it has also won numerous export awards from governmental organisations.

It is absurd that the Tamil Nadu tax authority is now claiming that devices made in Chennai were not exported and were instead sold domestically in India. We contend that this allegation has no basis in reality whatsoever; it could easily be rebuffed by a check of documentation provided to various governmental departments including Customs.

Nokia will defend itself vigorously in this matter.

Nokiahasser bzw. Applefetischisten aufgepasst: Der Nokia Deal geht ganz entspannt über die Bühne.

Bravo, dass Nokia sich nicht von den indischen Steuergangstern erpressen lässt. Das indische Werk wird wohl dicht gemacht, die Produktion nach Vietnam verlagert.

Nach Bochum muss jetzt Indien dran glauben, ich sage dazu: Korrekt!

Das empfinden aber nicht sehr viele Elop der Retter voon Nokia. Ohne Elop haette es Nokia immer noch gegeben. WP haette ein Erfolg werden koennen keine Frage aber MS wollte eben nur billig an die D&S Sparte u.man hat Nokia im Stich gelassen. Bei dem Geld was MS hat haette man doch eine Werbekampagne durchziehen koennen passte leider nicht in ihre Strategie. Das Geschäft macht nun Samsung u.Apple,leider. Sollte der Deal platzen ist man wieder um eine Erfahrung reicher.
