The factories would support 2,000 megawatts of wind-farm orders that Suzlon expects to win in Madhya Pradesh state in the next five years, Chairman Tulsi Tanti told an investor summit in Indore today, according to an e-mailed statement.
In July, Tanti said Suzlon also intends to invest as much as $50 million in a 400-megawatt turbine plant in Brazil by the end of 2015.
The Pune-based company, which committed India’s biggest convertible bond default in 2012, expects to exit corporate debt restructuring by April, Tanti said last month.

New Delhi: World’s fifth largest wind turbine maker Suzlon plans to list its German subsidiary Senvion on the London Stock Exchange through an initial public offering which is likely to garner close to Rs.7,000 crore. “We are working on that (listing of Senvion) front and it will happen by the end of current financial year (2014-15),” Suzlon Group chairman Tulsi Tanti said. The company did not disclose the amount it expects to raise from the public offer of Senvion but according to people familiar with the matter, it is hopeful of garnering about Rs.7,000 crore. Industry experts feel that the listing of the German subsidiary by Suzlon will be a win-win situation for the company. “Senvion is a leading player in the global wind market and it would certainly have lots of interest from investors when it goes for listing in London,” Debasish Mishra, senior director (consulting) Deloitte said. He added that if the structure allows Suzlon to bring the cash and reduce its debt in India, it would be a huge positive for the debt-ridden compan

The company intends to invest Rs 15,000 crore ($2.5 billion) to develop 2,000 MW of wind energy capacity in the state. Suzlon Energy is among the largest developers of wind energy projects and has a portfolio of 8,500 MW of the total 21,700 MW wind energy capacity installed in the country. Madhya Pradesh is home to about half of the company’s total installed capacity.
While the company has been reeling under tremendous financial strain which has resulted in accumulation of million of dollars of debt and price of the shares at the Bombay Stock Exchange fall from Rs 425 (~$7) to Rs 12 (~$0.20) over a period of five years, it maintains a strong order book worth $7.2 billion.
Having access to world-class turbine technology through its acquisitions in Europe, the company is well placed for the next phase of expansion in the Indian wind energy sector. The Indian government is believed to be working on the National Wind Energy Mission which would see 10,000 MW capacity added every year, significantly more than about 2,500-3,000 MW capacity addition per year over the last few years.
The company is also planning to set up a 300 MW offshore wind energy project off the coast of Gujarat. The company announced that it is currently studying the feasibility of such a projects just days after the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy announced its own plan to set up 100 MW offshore wind energy project in the same state.

Indian wind energy giant Suzlon Energy has announced plans to set up a 300 MW offshore wind energy pilot project in the state of Gujarat. The integrated single window policy for offshore wind energy projects which is expected to be launched by next year has triggered Suzlon to come up with this project. According to Tulsi Tanti, Chairman of Suzlon Group, techno-commercial study for the proposed wind project is underway. The commencement of the project construction is expected by next year.
This announcement came just days after the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) signed an agreement with public sector companies and other partners to set up joint venture company for the establishment of country’s first offshore wind energy project in Gujarat.
Several techno-commercial and environmental studies are currently being conducted mainly along the coasts of Gujarat and Tamil Nadu for identification of the potential zones for offshore wind energy development.While Suzlon itself does not manufacture wind turbines suitable for offshore projects, Senvion SE (formerly REpower Systems SE) – acquired by Suzlon – manufactures the world’s largest commercially available offshore wind turbine, which is being used in several wind projects in Europe.
Gujarat offers a conducive environment for wind energy development due to a vast coastline. Wind energy is the most matured renewable energy technology in India, with installation of more than 22 GW onshore projects all over the country. There is immense potential for the development of offshore wind farms in India due to the presence of 7,600 km coastline. ....

The orders have been received from various entities including Malpani Group, Rajasthan Gum Group, KRBL, Sterling Agro Group and an assortment of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
"The 150 MW order received is a significant development since it demonstrates renewed customer interest to harness wind energy post the reinstatement of Accelerated Depreciation (AD) policy by the Government of India," Suzlon said in a statement on Friday.
While the company did not disclose the total value, sources said these projects would be worth Rs 1,000-1,200 crore.
The projects were bagged in the last two months and are scheduled for execution across eight states that have high wind potential.

ich kann es noch nicht glauben;
wir werden morgen sehen, ob der Kurs sich bewegt;
mehr über suzlon;
vestas auf tiefstes Niveau mit Absicht zusteuern;
