Lexam VG Gold Reports Initial Paymaster West Resource & New Exploration Drill Results From Buffalo Ankerite
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 10, 2011) - Lexam VG Gold Inc., (TSX:LEX)(FRANKFURT:VN3A)(OTCQX:LEXVF) is pleased to announce the details of an initial resource estimate for the Paymaster West Project in Timmins, Ontario. The resource estimate was prepared by Consulting Mining Geologist Peter Bevan, P.Eng, in accordance with Canadian National Instrument 43-101 standards (NI 43-101) and focused on the projects near surface gold mineralization. The resource is based on 172 diamond drill holes, 109,120.6 feet, (33,259.9 m) of core drilling and builds on Lexam VG's existing resources that either adjoin or are located in close proximity to the Paymaster West Project (Fig. 1). The potentially open pit near surface Paymaster West resource is located west of the Dome Mine Pit, that mined gold mineralization with similar grade.
RESOURCE ESTIMATE HIGHLIGHTS
-- Indicated resource of 3.23 million tonnes at a average grade of 1.82
grams per tonne (gpt) totalling 189,082 ounces of gold
-- Inferred resource of 2.79 million tonnes at a average grade of 1.77 gpt
totalling 154,404 ounces of gold
-- Successfully builds upon Lexam VG Gold's current gold resources (100%)
in Timmins that includes 601,756 ounces of gold in the indicated
category and 614,791 ounces of gold in the inferred
-- Excellent potential exists at Paymaster West to expand the near surface
resource and develop additional resources below the current estimate
-- A total of $10 million has been budgeted in 2011 to explore Paymaster
West and Lexam VG Gold's surrounding projects
Paymaster West Resource Estimate
The Paymaster West resource estimate includes a cut-off grade of 0.51 grams gold/t. High grade assays above 34.29 grams gold/t were cut to this value. A conceptual open pit mining method was used for the purpose of delineating the mineralization with a reasonable prospect of economic extraction. Approximately 85% of the indicated and 60% of the inferred resources are located within 600 feet of surface. Tonnage estimates were based on a 2.81 grams/cubic centimetre density factor. Cross-sectional method was used to interpolate gold grade in the resource model. The database used to establish the Paymaster West resource is based on diamond drilling conducted by both Placer Dome (75 holes, 7958.2 metres) and VG Gold (97 holes, 25,301.7 metres).

1. Mineral resources which are not mineral reserves do not have
demonstrated economic viability. The estimate of mineral resources may
be materially affected by environmental, permitting, legal, title,
taxation, socio-political, marketing, or other relevant issues.
2. The quantity and grade of reported inferred resources in this estimation
are conceptual in nature and there has been insufficient exploration to
define these inferred resources as an indicated or measured mineral
resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in
upgrading them to an indicated or measured mineral resource category.
3. The mineral resources were estimated using the Canadian Institute of
Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), CIM Standards on Mineral
Resources and Reserves, Definitions and Guidelines prepared by the CIM
Standing Committee on Reserve Definitions and adopted by CIM Council
December 11, 2005.
A copy of the full resource estimation report will be filed on the SEDAR within 45 days of this news release. The mineral resource estimates were completed by Peter Bevan, P.Eng, Consulting Mining Geologist and are based on geological interpretations and data supplied by the Company to Peter Bevan and modified by him for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects of the Canadian Securities Administrators.
Lexam VG Gold has the option to earn a 60% interest in the Paymaster West Property from Goldcorp by making $6.0 million in exploration expenditures by June 2012. Once Lexam VG Gold has given notice that it has earned its 60%, Goldcorp has six months to decide if it wishes to increase its ownership from 40% to 70% by paying Lexam VG Gold $710,000 and spending $8.25 million on the property within two years and then completing a feasibility study by the end of year three.

Buffalo Ankerite Property Diamond Drilling
Recent drilling at 100 percent owned Buffalo Ankerite is focused on expanding the near surface gold resource in the South Mine Area. Previous drilling by the company's predecessor had intersected significant results that included 5.09 grams gold/t over 13.7 m and 1.61 grams gold/t over 36.1 meters and the current drilling is following up on these positive results on the extension of the South Mine geological structure called the South Mine North Limb. The company began drilling the folded extension of the South Mine in the fall of 2010 and has encountered encouraging gold mineralization and gold values along a strike length of 200 metres to date, with additional potential open to the west. Highlights from the recent drilling are below with the full results shown in Table 1. Diamond drilling in 2011 will continue to follow the North limb as part of the planned $10 million exploration program.

Davidson-Tisdale
In 2010, drilling occurred at the Davidson-Tisdale project (Lexam VG Gold 68.5% - San Gold 31.5%) in order to test the potential at depth. A total of 29 holes were drilled. No significant mineralization was encountered in these holes. Although no mineralization was encountered Lexam VG Gold's management believe there is good potential to discover additional high-grade gold mineralization at depth, similar to that discovered closer to surface.
QUALIFIED PERSON
All exploration work was conducted under Kenneth Guy, P. Geo., designated Qualified Person for Lexam VG Gold, who has reviewed this news release.
The mineral resource estimates which are effective today were completed by Mining Geological Consultant Peter Bevan, P.Eng, and are based on geological interpretations and data supplied by the Company. Peter Bevan is an independent Qualified Person for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects of the Canadian Securities Administrators and has verified the data disclosed in this release.
All drilling was completed using NQ size core. Gold analysis of the samples collected by Lexam VG Gold was assayed by ALS Chemex. Analysis consisted of a fire assay of a 30-gram sample with an atomic absorption finish. Samples assaying over 10.0 grams gold per tonne Au are re-assayed with gravimetric finish. Samples noted to contain visible gold are analyzed via total metallic assay method. A rigorous Quality Control and Assurance Program (QA/QC) is in place, using control samples such as blanks and duplicate checks. In addition, duplicate analyses of 10% of the samples are corroborated by check assays performed at a third Party Laboratory. 10. Januar 2011, Toronto, Ontario, Kanada. Lexam VG Gold Inc., (TSX: LEX),
(FWB: VN3A), (OTCQX: LEXVF) veröffentlicht hiermit Details einer ersten
Ressourcenschätzung für das Paymaster West Projekt in Timmins, Ontario,
Kanada.
Goldmineralisierung in diesem Projekt.
Tonne (g/t); insgesamt 189.082 Unzen Gold
Tonne (g/t), insgesamt 154.404 Unzen Gold
- Erfolgreiche Erweiterung der derzeitigen Goldressourcen von Lexam VG
Gold (100%) in Timmins, welche 601.756 Unzen Gold in der
Indicated-Kategorie, sowie 614.791 Unzen Gold in der Inferred-Kategorie
umfassen.

Genehmigungsverfahren, Gesetze, Besitzrechte, Besteuerungsfragen,
of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM)', bzw. der CIM Standards zu
vom 'CIM Standing Committee on Reserve Definitions' erstellt und vom

kompletten Ergebnisse liefert Tabelle 1. Weitere Diamantbohrungen in 2011

This proposal is for a Basic Comprehensive Certificate of Approval (Air) which is a single Certificate of Approval that replaces the existing Certificate(s) of Approval (Air) and includes the addition of new or historically unapproved sources for all emissions from VG Gold Corp., located at the Fuller mine, City of Timmins, Ontario. VG Gold Corp. proposes to re-open the Fuller underground gold mine and the ore extracted will be shipped offsite for further processing.
This application is for all sources at the facility required to develop and annually extract approximately 175,000 tonnes per annum of gold ore.
Emissions to the atmosphere include products of combustion, particulate matter and metals such as cobalt, nickel, arsenic and magnesium.
The Basic Comprehensive Certificate of Approval (Air) requires that the company demonstrate compliance on an ongoing basis with Ontario Regulation 419/05, applicable Ministry Guidelines for Air and Noise and other performance requirements as specified in their conditions. It permits modifications such as process changes, de-bottlenecking or addition of new equipment subject to limits on operational flexibility that include a production limit for the facility to be specified on the Basic Comprehensive Certificate of Approval (Air). The limited operational flexibility conditions have a five year expiry date. The company will be required to make application for amendment at that time to renew these conditions. Pressemitteilung
BOHRUNGEN IM BUFFALO ANKERITE PROJEKT
FÜHREN ZU WEITEREN POSITIVEN EXPLORATIONSRESULTATEN
28. Juli 2011, Toronto, Ontario, Kanada. Lexam VG Gold Inc. (TSX: LEX), (FWB: VN3A), (OTCQX: LEXVF) gibt
Abbaugebiete anvisiert.
Abb. 1.4). In
Timmins Gold Camps in Ontario.
Lexam VG

Lexam VG Gold Inc.: Positive Results Expand Mineralization and Open Up Potential at Buffalo Ankerite
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 27, 2011) - Lexam VG Gold Inc. (TSX:LEX)(OTCQX:LEXVF)(FRANKFURT:VN3A) is pleased to announce encouraging exploration results from twenty-one new holes at the Buffalo Ankerite Project, located in Timmins, Ontario, Canada. Drill highlights include: 13.44 grams per tonne (gpt) gold over 2.2 metres, 8.82 gpt gold over 3.4 metres and 27.10 gpt gold over 1.2 metres. The holes contained in this release were focused on expanding Buffalo Ankerite's South Zone to the west and at depth. In addition, drilling has discovered what appears to be a potentially new mineralized structure parallel to the existing resource.
"With historic production totalling 1 million ounces of gold, Buffalo Ankerite is one of the largest historic mines owned by a junior in Timmins. Our exploration drilling continues to demonstrate that the zones extend beyond the limits of the previous mining, returning encouraging grades over potentially mineable widths. The focus for the remainder of 2011 is to further grow the resource, in order to prepare an updated estimate, which is scheduled for the first quarter of 2012," stated Tom Meredith, President and CEO.
South Zone Resource Expanded West and at Depth (Fig. 1 and 3)
Drilling in the upper portion of Buffalo Ankerite's South Zone focused on extending the mineralization beyond the current resource and the previously mined areas. Holes completed in this area returned 7.50 gpt gold over 2.4 metres, 27.10 gpt gold over 1.2 metres and 11.64 gpt gold over 1.4 metres, successfully extending the near surface resource by up to 50 metres laterally. Drilling also tested for deeper mineralization within the same area, returning 8.82 gpt gold over 3.4 metres and 5.12 gpt gold over 1.6 metres, with the results occurring 350 and 450 metres below surface, respectively. These results demonstrate the potential to expand the existing resource in multiple directions. The grades encountered in these holes are consistent with the Buffalo Ankerite Mine's past production.
Six additional holes were also drilled to test the deeper potential. Each of these holes intersected the zone but returned lower gold values. Although lower grade, these holes indicate that the zone is continuous over a potentially large area.
Discovery of a Potential New Parallel Zone (Fig. 1, 2 and 3)
Buffalo Ankerite is comprised of several parallel zones. Recent drilling has encountered what appears to be a new zone located between Goldcorp's former producing Aunor Mine (past production 2.5 million ounces) and Lexam VG Gold's Buffalo Ankerite Mine (past production 1.0 million ounces). One of the initial holes from this area returned 13.44 gpt gold over 2.2 metres within a wider intercept that returned 3.47 gpt gold over 16.8 metres, starting at 550 metres below surface. A second deeper hole, located 800 metres below surface, returned 5.74 gpt gold over 0.9 metres, showing the zone extends at depth.
Four additional holes also tested the potential of this new zone, intersecting Quartz-tourmaline breccia veins with anomalous gold values. Although early, the results are encouraging and could represent an exciting exploration target.

P.A. Bevan, P.Eng., February 11, 2009 -"Qualifying Report on the Buffalo Ankerite Property, South Porcupine, Ontario, Canada (NTS 42E 12/SW)"
(1) Mineral resources which are not mineral reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability. The estimate of mineral resources may be materially affected by environmental, permitting, legal, title, taxation, socio-political, marketing, or other relevant issues.
(2) The quantity and grade of reported inferred resources in this estimation are conceptual in nature and there has been insufficient exploration to define these inferred resources as an indicated or measured mineral resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in upgrading them to an indicated or measured mineral resource category.
(3) The mineral resources were estimated using the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), CIM Standards on Mineral Resources and Reserves, Definitions and Guidelines prepared by the CIM Standing Committee on Reserve Definitions and adopted by CIM Council December 11, 2005.
Exploration Drill Program
Four diamond drills are operating at the Buffalo Ankerite Project. Three of the drills are located at the North Zone, with the remaining drill located at the South Zone, where the results from this news release were focused. Lexam VG Gold is planning to update the resource estimate for Buffalo Ankerite based on the 2011 drilling and anticipates publishing the results in the first quarter of 2012.
Buffalo Ankerite
Lexam VG Gold owns a 100% interest in the 1,063 acres of the Buffalo Ankerite property. During the period 1926-1953 the Buffalo Ankerite Mine produced 1,018,000 ounces of gold with an average recovered grade of 6.51 grams per tonne.
Lexam VG Gold has an option to earn a 60% interest in the Aunor claim, which lies contiguous to the west of the Buffalo Ankerite claims and which hosts a portion of the South Zone's mineralization. The Aunor claim is surrounded on 3 sides, east, north, south, by the Buffalo Ankerite property.
The Fuller Porphyry has a similar alteration assemblage as described above and is associated with major structures including the Destor Porcupine Fault Zone.
Exploration Drill Program
Three diamond drills are operating on the Lexam VG Gold Timmins Projects:
1. One drill about to commence drilling on the Fuller property porphyry zone, following up on the hole VGF-11-121, which intersected 4.23 gpt over 30.6 m within 50.2 m grading 2.73 gpt;
2. One drill on the Buffalo Ankerite property testing the Buffalo Ankerite North Zone central area, following up on hole VGP-11-106, which intersected 23.85 gpt over 2.4 m (press release of June 9, 2011);
3. One drill on the Paymaster property testing primarily the Buffalo Ankerite North Zone, north area, following up on holes VGP-11-109 and VGP-11-111, which intersected 5.18 gpt over 12.4 m and 17.63 gpt over 3.0 m respectively (press release of July 28, 2011).
Fuller Property
The 100% Lexam VG owned Fuller property lies immediately north of the 100% owned Buffalo Ankerite property and west of the Paymaster property, which is under option from Goldcorp.
