BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS, May 18, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- EcoloCap Solutions Inc.(ECOS 0.29+0.04+16.00%) today announced that the Company has retained Enersol Energy System Solutions, a leading battery and energy system consulting firm in the U.S., to finalize its plans to build a production facility in Seoul, Korea and begin manufacturing its proprietary Nano Lithium X Battery.

In conjunction with EcoloCap&#39;s personnel in the U.S. and South Korea, Enersol will first conduct a needs analysis for the proposed production facility. Subsequently, Enersol will determine the physical layout, the equipment required, and perform a cost analysis. The Enersol report will serve as a basis for the construction of the facility, the purchasing and layout of the plant and equipment with the goal of maximizing production and quality while controlling cost.

The Nano Lithium X battery&#39;s superior energy reserve represents a 50%+ cost advantage in the lithium battery market, and a marked competitive advantage over upper-end lead acid batteries for large storage applications, including the growing solar and wind energy markets.

Batteries for these new applications need to be light-weight, compact and have a wide operating temperature range. (OTCBB: ECOS) today announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent with MEGES BV of The Netherlands whose principals are the major stakeholders of a number of European companies in the energy field, namely Celectric BV (formerly Deta Batterijen BV) and Par Led Light BV, both with headquarters in The Netherlands and with R&D and production facilities in Germany and Belgium. Both companies have energy related operations and are considered amongst the leaders in their field.

The Agreement comprises the formation of a new Joint Venture company owned 50% by MEGES BV and 50% by EcoloCap Solutions. today announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent with MEGES BV of The Netherlands to form a joint venture, ECOS/MEGES, that will assemble and distribute Lithium X batteries to their existing clientele and open the rest of the Western European and Russian markets.

Last week, President Obama signed a Presidential Memorandum directing regulators to set mileage and pollution limits for big trucks while tightening rules for future cars and SUVs. BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS, Jun 30, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- EcoloCap Solutions Inc.(ECOS 0.190.000.00%), an integrated network of environmentally-focused technology companies utilizing nanotechnology to develop efficient alternative energy solutions, today announced the sale of a NPW-30 unit to R3 Energy LLC (http://www.R3energyllc.com) of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas. The contract price was $441,000 of which $175,000 was received, the balance due 20 days after commissioning (90 - 100 days). This introductory price includes one container of additive necessary for processing. This installation should require at least 5 container loads of additive per year.

The NPW-30 produces 30 metric tons per day of biodiesel from either waste vegetable oil or animal fat, requiring no pre-processing. EcoloCap&#39;s process utilizes nanotechnology and proprietary additive, one of the factors in reducing production costs. The EcoloCap technology can process feedstock with Free Fatty Acid (FFA) of up to 99.2% into ASTM grade biodiesel. Feedstock with high FFA being much less expensive represents another factor in reducing the cost of the finished product.

The ECOS efficiency claims are based upon the comparison with the traditional steps required to synthesize biodiesel which are as follows:

Feedstock pretreatment. If waste vegetable oil (WVO) is used, it is filtered to remove dirt, charred food, and other non-oil material often found. Water needs to be removed because its presence causes the triglycerides to hydrolyze, giving salts of the fatty acids (soaps) instead of undergoing transesterification to give biodiesel.

Determination and treatment of free fatty acids: A sample of the cleaned feedstock oil is then titrated with a standardized base solution in order to determine the concentration of free fatty acids (carboxylic acids) present in the waste vegetable oil sample. These acids are then either esterified into biodiesel, esterified into bound glycerides, or removed, typically through neutralization.

Reactions. While adding the base, a slight excess is factored in to provide the catalyst for the transesterification. The calculated quantity of base (usually sodium hydroxide) is added slowly to the alcohol and it is stirred until it dissolves. Sufficient alcohol is added to make up three full equivalents of the triglyceride, and an excess of usually six parts alcohol to one part triglyceride is added to drive the reaction to completion.

Product purification. Products of the reaction include not only biodiesel, but also byproducts, soap, glycerin, excess alcohol, and trace amounts of water. All of these byproducts must be removed, though the order of removal is process-dependent.

The density of glycerin being greater than that of biodiesel, this property difference is exploited to separate the bulk of the glycerol byproduct. Residual methanol is typically removed through distillation and reused, though it can be washed out (with water) as a waste. Soaps can be removed or converted into acids. Any residual water must be removed from the fuel.

In contrast to that traditional biodiesel technology the ECOS NPW-30 is an automatic batch flow which has only one processing step. The ECOS process reduces the oils to nano-sized particles (less than 1 micron) and the process is independent of the amounts of FFA. Size does matter, at least to small particles. Nano sized particles take on unusual properties. The solubility product and miscibility change and physical separations can occur on a molecular level. The addition of the additive performs the conversion of the fatty acids into glycerin not glycerol. The biodiesel resulting meets or exceeds all ASTM requirements. The glycerin produced by the ECOS process is pharmaceutical grade and can be sold, as is, to the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food industries. There are no other by-products of manufacturing and no catalysts to recover. The ECOS cost is a minimum of 25% of standard transesterification.

The discussions dealt on three areas of battery applications: 1) The utilization of the EcoloCap Nano Li(x) battery for various fleet operations including the conversion of the described bus routes into an all electric operation. 2) The design of an EcoloCap Nano battery for use in an electric three-wheeler design and a four wheel taxi. The deadline to start the manufacturing of the three-wheeler is Sep 2010. The government permit for this product proposes an initial production of 10,000 units. 3) The all-electric taxi is to be introduced by the company in Dec. 2010 with only slight design changes needed to migrate production to small and medium size delivery trucks.

The first batteries are to be assembled in India by a venture to be defined by the parties, subject to final design and longevity testing now underway, and which will last for 4 weeks.

Mr. Sheetal P. Singh, a Director of Argentum stated: "After an initial study and based on past results, we are convinced that the Ecolocap Nano battery technology will make India a leader in the electric fleet transportation market. We have signed the necessary NDA's with EcoloCap and are proceeding to testing for longevity. With the U.S. Government expected to seek a 20 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and fuel consumption, future tractor-trailers, school buses, delivery vans, garbage trucks and heavy-duty pickup trucks must do better at the pump to meet first-ever fuel efficiency rules coming from the Obama administration. The Environmental Protection Agency and the Transportation Department are moving ahead with a proposal for medium and heavy-duty trucks, beginning with those sold in the 2014 model year and into the 2018 model year.

EcoloCap's M-Fuel is an emulsion of 70% diesel and 30% water that is 20% cheaper than diesel, reduces particulate emissions by 98%+ and so fully qualifies for the Government tax credit. After many years of research into water-fuel emulsions in engine applications, the use of these fuels has increasingly become a viable, cleaner alternative to conventional fuels. Several studies have confirmed emissions reductions of NOx, PM and other pollutants in various applications, including highway and stationary engines. In North America EcoloCap Solutions Inc. (OTCBB: ECOS) is moving forward with the establishment of an advanced nano lithium battery manufacturing complex in Native American tribal lands. The company's executives will meet with tribal leaders in December to plan implementation, and remain focused on minimizing manufacturing costs in order to make the technology highly competitive with high-capacity lead acid cells. Negotiations are expected to conclude by the 1st quarter of next year.

M-Fuel samples have arrived for testing in the US, where ECOS will duplicate the Korean testing that has already demonstrated increased efficiency, along with reductions in both emissions and cost, versus traditional diesel. Following the fuel samples are the demonstration M-Fuel and Biodiesel processors which will be used to establish a demonstration center in the Chicago area for ECOS technologies.
