FRIDAY , NOVEMBER 14, 2003 05:33 PM
IRVINE, Calif., Nov 14, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via Comtex/ -- DataLogic International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DLGI); (Berlin Stock Exchange: 779612), today announced results for third quarter ended September 30, 2003. The Company's net revenues for the three months ended September 30, 2003 increased $2,125,308 or 324% to $2,780,609 as compared to $655,301 for the three months ended September 30, 2002. The Company had previously reported revenues of $2,753,728.
The Company's gross profit from operations for the three months ended September 30, 2003 increased $285,188 or 579% to $334,444 as compared to $49,256 for the same period in the prior year. The increase in income from operations was materially due to an increase in operating profits from more billable employees, sales of VoIP phones and airtime, and the Company's ability to better manage its general and overhead expenses.
Factoring expense for the three months ended September 30, 2003 was $72,095, an increase of $69,085, as compared to $3,010 for the same period in the prior year. The increase in factoring expense was mainly due to unusual fees incurred for several large late payments. Interest expense for the three month period ended September 30, 2003 was $20,116, an increase of $13,055, as compared to $7,061 for the three months ended September 30, 2002. The increase in interest expenses was attributable to the increase in the Company's short-term debts to finance payroll.
The Company's net profit for the three months ended September 30, 2003 was $100,160, an increase of $112,081, as compared to the net loss of $11,921 for the same period in the prior year. The Company had previously reported net income of $145,374. The error was due to the incorrect consideration of the factoring expense.

DataLogic International Receives $100,000 Purchase Order for VoIP Phones and Services
FRIDAY , DECEMBER 19, 2003 05:31 AM
IRVINE, Calif., Dec 19, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via Comtex/ -- DataLogic International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DLGI; Berlin Stock Exchange: 779612) today announced that it has received a purchase order worth in excess of $100,000 for VoIP phones and services from a US reseller.
The purchase order consists of various models of VoIP phones and an annual contract for customer and technical support. The reseller's target markets for the phones are California Asian consumers and business users.
"We are pleased to receive this mid-size order for our phones and related support services," commented Keith Nguyen, DataLogic's President. "Income from this order and the recent video conference contract will be booked for this quarter. We are also seeing an increased interest in our products and expect some of the additional transactions in our current pipeline to be consummated later this quarter or early next quarter. Overall, the growth of our VoIP products and services is progressing along at a good pace."
"Additionally, we are now offering free in-network IP-Phone(TM) to IP-Phone(TM) calling worldwide. We're also preparing to announce new VoIP products and services that are intended to reduce corporate communication costs as well as to ease consumer transition of conventional calling to VoIP calling," added Nguyen.

DataLogic International Launches GPS Based Vehicle Tracking Solution as First Wireless M2M Application
Tuesday January 20, 5:30 am ET
IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DataLogic International, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: DLGI - News; Berlin Stock Exchange: 779612 - News) today announced that it has launched a GPS based vehicle tracking device as its first Machine-to-Machine (M2M) application.
DataLogic's vehicle tracking device, known as Panther, consists of a Global Positioning Service (GPS) receiver and a wireless modem that communicates with Personal Communication Services (PCS) networks such as AT&T, T-Mobile, and Cingular, and more.
Aimed largely at theft, recovery, and tracking services, the device can be installed in a vehicle to allow complete control from a user's cell phone, PC, or landline. The device can also be placed in a vehicle with no connections in a manner that would still allow a vehicle to report if it is stolen or has moved from its last parked position.
By using a stand-alone or web-based interface, users can query a vehicle for its location along with information such as airbag deployment, theft alarm status, speed, direction, and time idle. Users may perform other customized functions such as unlocking the vehicle's doors with a cell phone and receiving an automatic alert when a car has been stolen.
The product has been tested and works in the USA, UK, and Brazil. It is currently available in GSM mode with CDMA support available some time this quarter.
"The existing market for wireless telemetry is estimated to be $1.15 Billion according to the Yankee Group. By the year 2006, it is estimated that the M2M market, between the USA, Japan, and Western Europe, will be $3.6 Billion and growing to $100 Billion by the end of year 2010 according to McKinsey and Company," commented Robert Newell, DataLogic's VP of Sales and Marketing and a new board member.
Newell continued, "It is estimated that by the year 2006, of the total number of GSM terminals (cell phones, M2M transceivers, etc.), 50% will be connected to machines and 50% will continue to be used for voice. M2M has a tremendous growth potential and we are excited to have the technology to capitalize on this fast-growing segment of the wireless industry."
"This is another of DataLogic's initiatives to further penetrate the wireless market," said Keith Nguyen, DataLogic's President. "We believe that with the proliferation of the wireless standard 802.11, GSM, and CDMA and decreasing cost in these technology deployments, the M2M market segment will experience rapid growth as consumers and enterprises seek to improve efficiency by actively managing and controlling their assets."
"DataLogic expects to derive new revenue streams from the unit sales and licensing fees of the core technology, which can be used to develop any of the M2M vertical markets. We will also work with various carriers to resell SIM cards and airtime and expect to generate income from that as well," added Nguyen.
M2M is a fast growing segment of the wireless industry. Utilizing the standard 802.11, GSM and CDMA protocol, wireless communication can be made between machines, mobile-to-machine, and man-to-machine to monitor and manage physical assets. Some examples of M2M application include security, automatic meter reading, supply chain management, vending machine management, industrial equipment monitoring, cargo tracking, vehicle tracking, traffic control, and home automation.
Ich habe mal aufgestockt.Peu a peu;m.E. besteht keine Eile!!
Ciao B.L.
