Navaho Gold intersects anomalous silver at depth at Utah Clipper, Nevada

"Navaho Gold (WKN: A1JH4V; ASX-Symbol: NVG) is off to a flying start to its latest drill campaign in NEVADA with the first diamond drill hole at the UTAH Clipper Project intersecting up to 65.1 grams per tonne (g/t) anomalous silver at a depth of 1,115.7 metres.

Importantly, this highlights the DEPTH potential of the mineralisation, with silver previously intersected in the upper part of the hole found to extend down the entire length of the hole.

Highlights include 7.6 metres at 14.5g/t silver from 697.4 metres, 2.7 metres at 15.9g/t silver from 960.1 metres and 2.4 metres at 65.1g/t silver from 1,115.7.

The potential zone of shallow silver mineralisation extends over a strike length of 2.8 kilometres and has now been confirmed to extend to depth.

This is supported by a historic drill hole that intersected silver zones to a depth of 326.1 metres. - Extensive silver mineralisation is known to occur close to several CARLIN-style deposits in NEVADA.

Meanwhile, a strongly fractured, altered pyrite-rich dyke within a thrust zone returned 5.9 metres at 0.12g/t gold from 1,077.5 metres.

The significance of this result is CARLIN-style mineralisation is often associated with dykes of this type"...

Silver and tin highlighted as new critical electric metals

"Silver and tin are two new critical electric metals that are garnering attention, according to Dr Jon Hykawy, head of global research, clean technologies at Byron Capital Markets, who kicked off a talk on battery materials at the third annual electric metals conference in Toronto on Thursday.

These two metals are expected to see a sharp boost in demand, leading to a predicted shortage in materials for electronics like iPads and Kindles starting in 2017, and an anticipated increase in prices.

Demand for both silver and tin is driven by the fact that both metals are key components in solder alloys that meet the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive implemented in the EU in 2006.

The directive, which took effect in July of 2006, recognises that a large proportion of electronic waste will never be recycled, and therefore the materials within devices will dissipate into the environment. For example, when lead is used in substances such as the solder [also LÖT-Zinn] that connects components to a circuit board in an electronic device, there is no way the lead [also das BLEI] can be collected.

As a result, the EU said that substances like solder, at least within devices intended for sale in the region, must NOT contain ANY of the hazardous materials the directive is concerned with, including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and diphenyl ether.

BECAUSE of this new LAW, the search for a new STANDARD solder in the electronics industry began, resulting in a mixture of TIN and SILVER - putting pressure on supplies for BOTH of these metals"...

Pan American Silver Terminates Option Agreement on Canasil’s Carina Project, Durango State, Mexico

"Vancouver, April 23, 2012 - CANASIL Resources Inc. [ISIN: CA13723D1006; WKN: A0H088; Nasdaq-Symbol: CNSUF; TSX-V: CLZ] announces that Pan American Silver Corp. (Pan American TSX: PAA), has elected to terminate the option agreement on Canasil’s Carina silver-gold project in Durango State, Mexico. At the time of entering into the agreement, Pan American was required to assign the agreement to the La Preciosa joint venture between Pan American and Orko Silver Corp. (Orko, TSX: OK). As previously announced by Orko on April 5, 2012, Pan American has relinquished its right to earn a 55% interest in the La Preciosa project and the Carina option will not be continued by the La Preciosa joint venture company. As a result Canasil now retains 100% interest in the Carina project.

Pan American completed an initial Phase 1 diamond drill program at the Carina project as previously announced by Canasil on March 5, 2012, with total expenditures of US$ 357,806. The drill program consisted of six drill holes for a total depth of 1,008 metres, which tested, at a relatively shallow depth of approximately 75 metres to 200 metres, an area with multiple quartz vein structures with anomalous silver, gold and base metal values in surface samples. All drill holes intersected narrow quartz vein structures varying in widths from 0.55 metres to 5.90 metres and carrying anomalous gold and silver values between 0.1 g/t to 0.435 g/t gold and 1.0 g/t to 6.0 g/t silver. As the surface mineralization observed at the Carina project appears to correspond to the higher levels of an epithermal system, further drilling will be required to test the system at depth.

The option agreement with Pan American Silver was signed on November 18, 2010, and provided for Pan American to earn an initial 55% interest in Canasil’s Carina property for total exploration expenditures of US$3,650,000 and total cash payments of US$365,000 to Canasil over a period of four years.

The Carina property covers 12,147 hectares and is located 45 km northeast of the city of Durango. The claims are adjacent to the southern border of the Orko Silver La Preciosa silver project. Canasil’s mapping and sampling has defined an area of 500 metres by 800 metres hosting multiple quartz vein structures with anomalous silver, gold and base metal values in surface samples"...

SHFE approves silver futures trading

"The SHANGHAI Futures Exchange (SHFE), CHINA's largest market for commodities, has been given permission to launch silver futures trading, according to the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) Tuesday.

The launch of SILVER futures trading on the SHFE will give China more sway in determining global silver prices. This could help China's silver producers, consumers and traders lower their costs.

In 2010, China was the world's largest silver producer, with a total output of 11,617 tons during that year, according to data from the CSRC".

China approves silver futures trading

"BEIJING, May 4 (Xinhua) -- CHINA's securities regulator on Friday approved the trading of silver futures contracts on the SHANGHAI Futures Exchange (SHFE).

China Securities Regulatory Commission said in an online statement that the SHFE should make full preparations for the trading by applying high standards to ensure a steady beginning.

'The exchange should take precautions against and properly resolve potential market risks in order to ensure the smooth launch and steady trading of silver futures contracts,' according to the commission.

The SHFE on Friday also released a statement concerning the standard contracts and the trading rules for silver futures, saying the trading will begin on May 10".

Orko Silver erhält positiven technischen Bericht für La Preciosa Projekt in Mexiko

"Die Ingenieurfirma AMEC Americas hat ORKO Silver (CVE:OK, FFT:OG3) bescheinigt, dass das La Preciosa Silber- und Goldprojekt im mexikanischen Bundesstaat Durango sich für Bergbaubetrieb sowohl im Tagebau als auch untertage eignet.

AMEC hat nach einer Untersuchung der Liegenschaft im Januar und Februar nun einen technischen Bericht für La Preciosa vorgelegt.

Orko will in Kürze  eine neue Ressourcenschätzung vorlegen, und die von AMEC verfasste aktualisierte wirtschaftliche Erstbewertung (preliminary economic assessment, PEA) soll im August oder September vorgelegt werden.

Laut der ersten PEA, die Orko und ehemaliger Partner Pan American Silver im August 2011 präsentiert hatten, verfügt La Preciosa über eine Silberressource von 113 Millionen Unzen in der angezeigten Kategorie sowie 46 Millionen Unzen in der abgeleiteten.

Das Vorkommen enthält ausserdem 222.000 und 83.000 Goldunzen in der angezeigten beziehungsweise abgeleiteten Kategorie.

Der Nettowert des Projektes liegt bei US$315 Millionen bei Annahme von Preisen von US$25 pro Silberunze und US$1.250 pro Goldunze.  Die Studie erwartet ausserdem einen Internen Zinsfuss (internal rate of return, IRR) von 24,3%"...

Man findet leider sehr wenig Informationen oder konkrete Hinweise auf die weitere Entwicklung. Früher war die Mine super,

dann letztes Jahr der Absturz um fast 50%.

Ein Austritt Griechenlands aus dem Euro würde zwangsläufig zu einem Flächenbrand führen. Es würde die Spekulation lostreten: „Wer ist der nächste?“. Folge: Die Südschiene (und auch Frankreich) würde völlig vom Kapitalmarkt abgeschnitten werden, die Zinsen würden dramatisch steigen. Wer investiert schon in Länder, die möglicherweise demnächst eine Währungsreform durchführen?

Ein Austritt Griechenlands würde sofort auch die europäischen Banken in Schieflage bringen. Diese hängen sowieso bereits am seidenen Faden – deutlich abzulesen an den Börsenkursen auch bei Deutscher Bank und Commerzbank. Die Finanzhäuser sind naturgemäß vollgesaugt mit Staatsanleihen, für die sie keine Sicherheiten brauchen. Fallen die Bonds, fallen die Banken. Eine Kettenreaktion ist dann unvermeidlich. [...].

Die einzige Lösung des ganzen Problems ist der Austritt Deutschlands aus dem Euro. Das wissen auch die Finanzexperten. Die Neue Deutsche Mark würde in diesem Fall drastisch aufwerten, der Rest der Euro-Zone dagegen würde durch eine Abwertung endlich Erleichterung erfahren und mit schwächeren Währungen wieder konkurrenzfähig"...

Kann gut sein, dass wir jetzt eine beschleunigte Abwärtsbewegung sehen. Hoffentlich sind wir Ende Mai bereits bei 25 oder drunter - vielleicht auch erst Mitte Juni - wäre noch besser. Will mir mal wieder was kaufen.

Bundestag fordert Aufklärung über die Bilanzierung der Goldreserven

"Gegen den massiven WIDERSTAND der Deutschen Bundesbank hat der Haushaltsausschuss des Bundestags einen kritischen Prüfbericht des Bundesrechnungshofes zu den Goldreserven angefordert.

Wie die "Bild"-Zeitung (Montagausgabe) berichtet, hat der Haushaltsausschuss diesen Beschluss am vergangenen Mittwoch gefasst. "Der Beschluss ist einstimmig gefallen", sagte der CSU-Haushälter Herbert FRANKENHAUSER der Zeitung.

In dem Bericht rügt der Rechnungshof nach Informationen der Zeitung die unzureichende Sorgfalt bei der Bilanzierung der Goldreserven, die zum Teil
im AUSLAND lagern. Auch eine Rückführung nach Deutschland wird angeregt.

Bundesbankpräsident Jens WEIDMANN hatte versucht, auf die Spitze der Unionsfraktion einzuwirken, um die Anforderung des Berichts zu VERHINDERN.

Der Rechnungshof will nun Teile des Berichtes mit Verweis auf Sicherheitsbelange von Drittstaaten SCHWÄRZEN und dem Parlament lediglich eine verkürzte Zusammenfassung zur Verfügung stellen, die offenbar nur im GEHEIMSCHUTZ-RAUM des Bundestags eingesehen werden kann"...

Und wenn diese Information nur im Abhörgeschütztem Raum einzusehen ist, kann man sich an allen Fingern abzählen was dabei herauskommt.
Das Gold ist physisch weg und steht nur noch als Papiervermögen da.Ergo, solange man es nicht einfordert, bleibt es mit voller  Stärke in der Bilanz, aber wehe man versucht einenen Zugriff, dann kommt die Wirklichkeit zu Tage.
