Xebec's shares will be listed and commence trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange
(TSX) at the opening on Thursday, January 7, 2021.
Impact: POSITIVE
Details: In a TSX Venture Exchange maintenance bulletin, the Exchange noted that
it had been advised that the company's common shares will be listed and commence
trading on the TSX at the opening on Thursday, January 7, 2021.
TD View: As we note in our detailed update published on December 31, 2020
(full report), we believe that its move to the TSX, along with its increased market
capitalization (due to recent share-price appreciation and an increased share count),
will facilitate an expansion of Xebec’s pool of potential investors. Specifically,
it is our understanding that the mandate for many institutional investors may
not allow them to invest in TSX Venture Exchange-listed stocks, or stocks with
market capitalizations and liquidity below a certain threshold. As a result of these
changes, we expect institutional investors to be increasingly drawn to Xebec’s growth
trajectory, profitability profile, and leverage to broader climate-related investment
trends.
