LHS InfoCell Implements InfoCell ConVerge at Bell South-Owned Tele 2000 in Lima, Peru
ATLANTA/FRANKFURT--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 1999--LHS InfoCell Inc., a subsidiary of LHS Group Inc. (NASDAQ:LHSG)(Neuer Markt: LHI), today announced that Tele 2000, a Bell South owned and operated international property in Lima, Peru, has chosen LHS' InfoCell(tm) ConVerge as its point of sale solution. An affiliate of BellSouth International, Tele 2000 provides cellular cable and paging services to approximately 300,000 subscribers throughout Peru.
Ernst & Young will act as the system integrator, responsible for the customization and implementation of LHS InfoCell's ConVerge. Interfaces from ConVerge to Kenan's Arbor OM and from ConVerge to Certicom, a credit scoring engine, will allow for service payments, equipment sales, and service orders to be entered through ConVerge.

"This is the third launch of ConVerge in Latin America following BellSouth International's property in Quito, Ecuador and Pegaso in Mexico City," said Ken Rabun, vice president sales and integration LHS InfoCell. "Building on a strong relationship with Ernst & Young, LHS InfoCell can build on this success in this burgeoning market."

InfoCell(tm)ConVerge is the leading integrated solution for point of sale and business operations for the retail, direct, and telemarketing channels. Designed to streamline and automate a telecommunications operator's sales and activation process, InfoCell(tm)ConVerge provides carriers with a single solution for selling to customers, while lowering inventory costs and increasing the company's operating profits.
