TrendSetter Solar Products Introduces New Evacuated Solar Collector to the US Market
6/20/2007

FAIRHAVEN, Calif., Jun 20, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
TrendSetter Solar Products (Pink Sheets:TSSP) today announced the introduction of its new Evacuated Tube Solar Collector under the Company name and brand. Having been directly involved in this collector design TrendSetter will have exclusive rights to the USA market.

Evacuated Tube Solar Collectors are the most efficient type of solar thermal hot water collectors commercially available today. The new TrendSetter Solar Products, Inc. collectors will be undergoing field and laboratory testing and evaluation. The testing will be performed to certify the new collector by the SRCC (Solar Rating and Certification Company) certification and provide TrendSetter with valuable information for marketing them as part of TrendSetter's solar hot water heating systems. Company management believes the tests will show this particular evacuated tube collector will be one of the most efficient developed, industry-wide, to date.

TrendSetter Solar Products, Inc. has been planning on introducing the new evacuated tube collector for over a year. TrendSetter's Chief Technical Officer, Norm Ehrlich, has worked closely with TrendSetter's UK partner to develop this collector. TrendSetter is receiving the first shipment of their new collector this week and will immediately ship several units to key projects in California.

TrendSetter CEO, Dirk Atkinson, stated, "The new TrendSetter Evacuated Tube Solar Collector is a powerful addition to the already strong TrendSetter product line. The market is ready for these new collectors and our Company expects a significant demand for them. The introduction of this collector should further the TrendSetter brand."

§TrendSetter Solar Products Launches Sales Campaign for the California Solar Initiative in San Diego, California
6/27/2007

FAIRHAVEN, Calif., Jun 27, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
TrendSetter Solar Products (Pink Sheets:TSSP) today announced it is launching a sales campaign focusing on the California Solar Initiative (CSI) Solar Water Heating (SWH) Pilot Program in San Diego, California.

The pilot program is being organized and managed by The California Center for Sustainable Energy, formerly the San Diego Regional Energy Office (SDREO), as directed by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). A total of $1.5 million in incentives have been set aside for the pilot program and will be issued to qualifying residential and commercial projects in the San Diego region. The program is designed to evaluate systems, determine standards and set procedure for extending a solar water heating program to the rest of California in late 2008 or early 2009. The incentives being offered by the pilot program will be used to evaluate a variety of solar water heating systems offered by different manufacturers and have been certified by Solar Rating and Certification Corporation (SRCC). TrendSetter's systems carry the necessary SRCC rating to qualify the customers for the incentives. TrendSetter has begun their sales program in San Diego and expects to sign up several projects on the pilot program launch date of July 2, 2007.

TrendSetter's CEO, Dirk Atkinson, stated, "Our Management recognizes the importance of this pilot program and what it means for future sales of solar water heating in the California market. Our company has been working with the California Center for Sustainable Energy for several months so we would stay tuned into the progress of pilot program. TrendSetter has contributed knowledge to the program and donated equipment for display in the Center for Sustainable Energy showroom in San Diego. TrendSetter intends to be active participants, offering valuable feedback to the Center for Sustainable Energy based on what we learn while participating in the program and our previous 27 years in the solar thermal business."

TrendSetter Introduces New Solar Tank Product the 'PiggyBack System'

FAIRHAVEN, Calif., Jul 26, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- TrendSetter Solar Products (Pink Sheets: TSSP) today announced the introduction of its new Solar Tank Product, named the "PiggyBack(TM)", for the fact that a traditional hot water heater sits on top of this new solar hot water tank and works by circulating solar heated water into the traditional hot water heater. This new tank has several key advantages over the standard TrendSetter residential systems and will prove to be a highly efficient and more affordable solar hot water solution for most homeowners using traditional water heaters. Although the new PiggyBack(TM) system is not designed to replace the larger more comprehensive TrendSetter systems, it is designed to fulfill the needs of a specific sector of the retrofit market and allow customer to benefit from the current Federal Tax Credit program.
One advantage is the retail price; the new system has been value engineered so TrendSetter can offer an entry level priced system to existing homeowners. The new system has an expected retail price of approximately $6,700 installed in a single family residence; and will qualify the customer for up to $2,000 in federal tax credits in addition to any state, utility and local rebates. The final price for the customer after tax credits will be less than $5,000 which, if financed, the payments should prove to be less than the cost of the utilities that they are replacing for heating domestic hot water.

Another advantage is the improvement in technology that allows the system to operate off of a Photovoltaic (PV) panel which is included with the system. The combination of proprietary electronics and a 12 volt solar water pump make the system highly efficient and independent of the homeowner's electrical utility. The simplicity and elegance of the system's engineering and design to give the new product an extended life cycle with little maintenance estimated to be in excess of the life cycle of a traditional hot water heater.

Norm Ehrlich, CTO and TrendSetter Founder, stated, "The PiggyBack(TM) tank has several advantages including a 12 volt pump which is powered by a Photovoltaic (PV) panel and a new proprietary controller. The 12 volt pump is powered by the sun thus freeing the system from traditional home electricity. The new controller will allow the pump to work with the Photovoltaic panel while the sun is shining."

Dirk Atkinson, CEO, stated, "This product has a more attractive price point for the customer and is easier to install. The combination of price point and ease of installation is expected to help drive new sales for the company. We expect this product to become one of the mainstream products in the solar hot water heater market."

Solaraktien: Ist der Höhepunkt erreicht?

Von Armin Brack

Solaraktien boomen - wieder einmal.

Old is new again for heating water
OUR VIEW: Rooftop systems would help reduce California's dependence on fossil fuels
Article Launched: 08/17/2007 07:58:40 PM PDT
Can reaching back into the past help ensure our planet's future? A growing number of supporters of AB 1470 - the solar water heater incentive bill - seem to think so.
Northern California Assemblyman Jared Huffman's bill, which promotes an old technology through a surcharge on customer natural-gas bills, is making a strong comeback. Huffman's measure may be the smartest bill on a 100-year-old idea to ever come out of the Assembly.
Huffman wants to install 250,000 rooftop solar water-heating systems in California over 10 years. Normally, these cost homeowners between $4,000 and $6,000 each and pay for themselves in lowered natural-gas bills over 10 years. The bill would use the state surcharge and previous federal dollars to rebate homeowners, halving the cost.
The California Public Utilities Commission analysis put the surcharge at 13 cents a month per average homeowner. We can live with that, as would most homeowners if it meant a step toward energy independence.
Not surprisingly, it is the natural-gas companies - those who stand to lose the most business - that are thwarting the bill's progress. Sempra Energy, parent to Southern California Gas Co., is opposed. For that reason alone we can support

The bill. At the very least, it's an indication that Huffman may have something.
What he's got is a new spin on an old idea. Solar water-heating systems are nothing new. They were invented in 1891 and by 1897, one-third of all Pasadena homes heated their water using solar energy.
But just as the automobile and the freeways wiped out the Pacific Red Cars, the discovery of cheap, natural gas wiped out solar water heaters by 1920.
Perhaps it is time for homeowners - in the name of a green Earth - to turn back the clock, albeit with the government's help.
By using less natural gas, less nitrogen oxide is emitted, creating less lung-irritating smog. Also, using the sun's energy instead of burning natural gas - a fossil fuel - will cut down on global warming emissions, a mandate California is under since passage of AB 32.
However, a few other things must be strengthened if this is going to work. The Department of Consumer Affairs must do a better job routing out unscrupulous solar water-heater installers. Shortly after the energy scare of the late '70s, solar water heating became popular, but too many businesses overcharged customers or didn't stand by their products and they lost favor with homeowners. Second, there should be a marketing effort from a nonbiased source to explain the program.
Done right, California homeowners (and small businesses) can harness the state's greatest asset, the sun, much like residents of Hawaii, where an incentive program has produced more than half of all solar water-heating systems in the country.
Huffman's measure, with legislative and the governor's approval, would help put California back on the track of energy independence.

We are scheduling an annual shareholders meeting on August 28. At that meeting we hope to have elections for another five or six highly qualified new board members selected for expertise in various disciplines. Notice will be given at the end of July. We will have better financial news at that time. I hope to have a spate of new projects to announce that we could not mention because they were too far off.

Morgen Leute,

Aktionärsversammlung wird verschoben!

Actually they are very busy (for a reason I can\'t reveal) and the shareolder meeting is delayed by 30 days.
We will have some news (PR) 3 weeks before the meeting.
