Stone Electronics ist ein gutgehendes asiatisches Technologieunternehmen. Der aktuelle Kurs wäre an und für sich nichts besonderes, wenn da nicht folgende Tatsache wäre: Stone Electronics besitzt aktuell knapp über 7 Mio Aktien der Fa. Sina und ist somit beneficial owner. Die Aktie der Fa. Sina ist von 2 auf 40 US $ in den letzten 12 Monaten gestiegen. Somit beträgt allein der Wert der im Stone-Portefeuille liegenden Sina Aktien 280 Mio US $ bzw. umgerechnet 2.184 Mio HK $. Die Marktkapitalisierung der Stone Electronics beträgt derzeit 1.114 Mio HK $. Somit repräsentiert die Sina-Beteiligung einen Wert von 1,82 HK $, der letzte Kurs von Stone in Hongkong betrug 0,93 HK $, also ein klarer Verdoppelungskandidat nur aufgrund der Beteiligung - ungeachtet von den Erträgen, die das operative Geschäft bringt!

 

Infocast News) 12.9.2003     Stone Elctronic Technology Limited (0409) chairman Duan Yongji was appointed yesterday as the Co-Chairman of Board of SINA Corporation, and will govern SINA together with Daniel Chiang. The move leads to a duo-chairman situation in SINA.

Chiang denied the market speculations that the appointment is related to Sun Media Group Holdings Limited (0307) or the sale of SINA stocks by Stone Electronic last week. Chiang maintained that Sun Stone Media Group Limited is still the principal shareholder of SINA.

Chiang further explained that it is he who invited Duan to join as co-chairman of board. He will have the same power and responsibilities as Duan's, and there will be no division of labour between the two. Chiang said that as he seldom stays in Mainland China and cannot devote all of his time on the leadership duties of SINA, it is necessary to introduce Duan as the co-chairman of board for the sake of the company's future development as well as the communication between the board of directors and the management team.
