IAMGOLD Announces Launch of $500 Million Senior Notes Offering

TORONTO, March 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - IAMGOLD Corporation ("IAMGOLD" or the "Company") today announced that it has commenced an offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes due 2025 (the "Notes"). IAMGOLD intends to use the net proceeds from the offering of the Notes, together with cash on hand, to fund the redemption of its outstanding 6.75% Senior Notes due 2020 (the "Existing Notes").
Pursuant to the terms of the indenture governing the Existing Notes, IAMGOLD will issue a conditional notice of redemption to redeem all of the outstanding Existing Notes, which redemption will be conditional upon the successful completion of the offering of the Notes.
The Notes have not been and will not be registered under the United States Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the "Securities Act"), or the securities laws of any state and may not be offered or sold absent registration under the Securities Act or an applicable exemption from the registration requirements thereof. The Notes will be offered and sold in the United States only to qualified institutional buyers in accordance with Rule 144A under the Securities Act and outside the United States in reliance on Regulation S under the Securities Act. The Notes will be offered and sold in Canada on a private placement basis pursuant to certain exemptions from applicable Canadian securities laws.

Das Unternehmen produziert für recht hohe 1070USD.
Dadurch ist der Hebel auf den Goldpreis enorm. In die Eine wie die andere Richtung. Aktuell UP.
Nicht umsonst hat sich der Kurs in der Goldschwäche neulich halbiert. Eine gute Chance aktuell zum Einstieg, wenn man von weiter steigenden Gooldpreisen ausgeht.
Die ungarische Notenbank rechnet wohl ganz fest damit. Oder mit einem einbrechenden Euro dank Brexit und/oder Italien. Der Euro ist jedenfalls auch mein Hintergedanke. Siehe etliche Schwellenländer wo die Bürger mit Gold sicherlich glücklicher sind bei ihren einbrechenden Währungen.
Gold: Ungarische Notenbank verzehnfacht Goldreserven
Das Ergebnis der Machbarkeitsstudie für das Goldprojekt Boto ist eine deutliche Verbesserung gegenüber den Ergebnissen der Prefeasibility-Studie (PFS) und wird verwendet, um einen Antrag auf eine Bergbaukonzession noch vor Ende des Jahres zu unterstützen, berichtete der kanadische Goldgräber Iamgold am Montag.
Die Studie umreißt ein "robustes" Projekt, das im Durchschnitt fast 13 Jahre lang 140 000 Unzen pro Jahr produzieren wird, bei einer Barzahlung von 714 USD pro Unze und einer Gesamtkostenbelastung von 753 USD pro Unze.
Steve Letwin, President und CEO von Iamgold, sagte, dass, obwohl eine endgültige Investitionsentscheidung für das Boto-Projekt in Höhe von 254 Millionen Dollar noch aussteht, das Asset ein "hochwertiges Projekt" darstelle, das das Wachstumsprofil der Gruppe bereichern würde.
Die von Iamgold und Lycopodium Minerals Canada gemeinsam durchgeführte Machbarkeitsstudie berechnete eine interne Steuerquote nach Steuern von 23% mit einer Amortisationsdauer von 3,4 Jahren. Verglichen mit dem PFS vom Februar 2018 sind die nachgewiesenen und wahrscheinlichen Reserven um 0,51 Millionen Unzen auf 1,93 Millionen Unzen mit 1,71% Gold gestiegen.
Iamgold würde die Machbarkeitsstudie nutzen, um einen Antrag für eine Bergbaukonzession im vierten Quartal zu unterstützen, wobei die Genehmigung in der ersten Hälfte des Jahres 2019 erwartet wird.
