sorry freunde, mich hat es, genau wie den vorstand und euch auch kalt miterwischt.
A gathering of 1,500 pro-government protesters dispersed after briefly confronting about 2,000 demonstrators gathered in the city's central square. Police intervened to prevent minor scuffles from escalating. There were no signs anyone was injured or that any of the protesters were detained by police.
Demonstrators have been camped in the central square for days to highlight their opposition to the government's handling of the mining contract of Canadian firm Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. (TSX:IVN). They plan to take "extreme action" if their demands are not met by April 18, said S. Ganbaatar, an environmental activist with the Radical Reform Movement, one of several civic groups claiming to represent the poor and unemployed.
Those groups are demanding that the government resign if it cannot negotiate favourable terms from over the Vancouver, B.C. registered-company's concession to mine a huge copper deposit in the southern Gobi region. In particular, the protesters want Mongolia to retain 51 per cent ownership of the mine.
Their rivals, members of nationalist groups and student organizations, many of them wearing blue scarves symbolizing Mongolian patriotism, say they favour political stability.
"Do not push the country into anarchy!" they shouted as they marched toward the central square. "Let's sit down and talk," they said.
Police were checking vehicles near the square to prevent protesters from bringing in more materials to build tents and traditional-style huts called ger, trying to limit the growth of a tent camp erected in the central square by the protesters.
The protests are a challenge to a parliamentary government installed less than three months ago and to President Nambaryn Enkhbayar, who has been criticized for not remedying corruption and poverty in the resource-rich but impoverished country.
Ivanhoe currently holds a long-term mining license for the site, known as Oyu Tolgoi, or Turquoise Hill, and is negotiating the terms for development as part of a "stability agreement" with the government.
There have been no accusations that Ivanhoe has acted improperly in the project. The company has defended itself, saying its investment helps boost the Mongolian economy.
kann ich leider ebenfalls nicht posten.
ivanhoe bleibt allerdings weiter ein zockerwert mit höchstem risiko.

kannst du lesen, das sie zu 59% an Ivanhoe Australia beteiligt sind.
"A 59% interest in Ivanhoe Australia (IVA: ASX,TSX), which began production of copper and gold in Queensland in 2012 and also is developing the world's highest-grade molybdenum-rhenium project."

Mr. Ulf Quellmann reports
TURQUOISE HILL (TRQ) ACKNOWLEDGES THE RESOLUTION PUT FORWARD BY THE PARLIAMENTARY WORKING GROUP (PWG), AND PASSED UNANIMOUSLY BY THE PARLIAMENT OF MONGOLIA
In March 2018, the speaker of the Mongolian parliament appointed a parliamentary working group to review the implementation of Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd.'s investment agreement signed on Oct. 6, 2009. The mandate was subsequently expanded to include the Amended & Restated Shareholder Agreement signed June 8, 2011, and the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Mine Development and Financing Plan, signed on May 18, 2015.
Upon completion of the PWG review and its report, a Resolution was submitted to the Economic Standing Committee, and subsequently passed in a plenary session of the Parliament of Mongolia on November 21 st.
The Resolution was published on December 6 th and includes the following measures:
dot "{&#A A ; }take comprehensive measures to improve the implementation of the Investment Agreement signed on October 6, 2009{&#A A ; }.and the Amended & Restated Shareholder Agreement signed June 8, 2011"
dot "{&#A A ; }improve Oyu Tolgoi Underground Mine Development and Financing Plan{&#A A ; }"
dot "Explore and resolve options to have a product sharing arrangement or swap Mongolia's equity holding of 34 per cent for a special royalty..."
"We believe that the Resolution reflects Mongolia's commitment to work together to further support the development of the underground mine, and will serve as the basis of future discussions between the Government of Mongolia, Rio Tinto and Turquoise Hill Resources in relation to the Oyu Tolgoi project," stated Ulf Quellmann, Chief Executive Officer of Turquoise Hill. "Adherence to the key principles of our three foundational agreements remains of critical importance as this has already allowed for the development of the Oyu Tolgoi mine in a manner that has given rise to significant long-term benefits to Mongolia and it will continue to do so. However, we are also mindful that further dialogue amongst the stakeholders is required to ensure Oyu Tolgoi reaches its full potential. We remain firmly committed to exploring ways to deliver even greater benefits from Oyu Tolgoi to all shareholders."
