kann dann die selben Auswirkungen wie bei MGM oder Dryships haben :( dann ist man hinterher schlauer.

Stehauf sollte diesen Link hier einstellen. Hat er auch gemacht,
war zwischenzeitlich im KNAST. Lt. Deinem posting #799 war der Link
nicht zu öffnen.

BankUnited war eine gute Entscheidung. Hätte im Einkauf etwas günstiger sein können,
aber egal, auf den KAUF kam es an.

BankUnited Auction Extended As Thrift Scrambles For Capital

NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- The auction to find a new buyer for struggling BankUnited Financial Corp. (BKUNA) has been extended until next week, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Bidders were originally asked to submit their pitches to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation by noon Thursday. However, that deadline has been extended to next Tuesday, the person said.

The thrift, based in Coral Gables, Fla., warned on Wednesday that it could be forced into receivership by the FDIC if it failed to raise $1 billion in fresh capital. BankUnited also estimated a massive loss of $443.1 million for the fiscal second quarter, according to a regulatory filing.

Two likely consortiums have emerged as acquirers of BankUnited, but neither would confirm that a bid has been submitted.

Canada's Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) has teamed up with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) to buy the thrift, according to another person briefed on the matter. TD Bank would take over the branches and deposits, while Goldman would take a nominal role buying up some of BankUnited's distressed assets, the people said.

Billionaire investor Wilbur Ross' WL Ross & Co. has confirmed he plans to put in a bid through a consortium that includes private-equity firms Blackstone Group (BX) and Carlyle Group.

There has also been speculation that JC Flowers & Co., the New York-based investment firm run by J. Christopher Flowers, also might be interested. A spokesman for Flowers wouldn't comment on talk of a bid, and his attorney didn't return telephone calls.

The FDIC declined to comment.

Bin sehr gespannt wie unser LVS sich weiter entwickelt. Die auf N-TV, meinten gestern Abend wir könnten die stände von März wieder sehen. Das sagten die Dienstag und Gestern auch. Ob das Zufall war.

"They are considering it, but nothing is confirmed until they file for it, and it hasn't happened yet," said the source, regarding the initial public offering.

The source declined to be identified because the information has not been made public yet.

ein wenig, bis ich die news immer ausgewertet habe, denn ich bin leider dem englischen nicht besonders mächtig und bediene mich zur kontrolle gerne eines tools.

@stehauf, schön mal wieder von dir zu hören - leider bin ich noch nicht soooooo lequide um das geld für mich arbeiten zu lassen, aber trotz allem finde ich hast du eine gesunde sicht der Dinge, die ich gerne teile ;-)

ja, bei BKUNA tun sich wirklich chancen auf. leider sind mir gerade wegen einem depotwechsel ein wenig die hände gebunden. werde von dem kuchen wohl nichts abbekommen ... :-(

bei lvs bin ich jetzt ein wenig irritiert. das postig von rico habe ich doch als ziemlich gesund richtig interpretiert und hat der gute alte adelson am ende nicht gesagt, das er nicht vor hat sein eigenes geschäft zertsören will ?

wenn das so richtig ist, dann verstehe das letzte von rico bestimmt falsch, denn das hört sich wieder so an, als wenn der irgendwas mit der unit in Macau vor hat - aber ich verstehe den zusammenhang nicht wirklich, sorry
