Ku Ku Ku Ku Ku Kupfer steigt wieder.............!!

UOB KayHian gives a bullish outlook for copper prices, which it says will average $8,990 a metric ton in 2012 due to a softer USD, recovering Chinese demand and tightening supply of copper concentrates amid falling ore grades and project delays.
The house says in a report that, "China's demand recovery and sustainability should be supported by the Chinese government's selected monetary easing policies, an energy efficiency campaign and underlying demand from the growing construction, power and transportation sectors."
These factors will help drive copper demand, while prices will benefit from a softer USD as the U.S. maintains its accommodative monetary policy.
Still, UOB warns that copper could face downside risks from further deterioration in the euro-zone debt crisis, slower-than-expected Chinese growth or faster-than-expected supply growth.
Three-month copper is trading at $8,454.50 a metric ton, up 0.1% from its previous settlement and 11.2% higher since the start of the year.

Wednesday's scramble out of risk assets, including copper,
was fuelled by U.S. Federal Reserve chief Ben Bernanke's
comments that the U.S. economy needs to strengthen, to cut the
still high jobless rate further, and the absence of indications
of more Fed bond purchases.
That countered the positive impact from the half a trillion
euros in additional liquidity the European Central Bank injected
into the financial system to help fight a nagging debt crisis.
But a continued draw in LME copper stockpiles suggests "that
physical demand is higher than many market participants
believe", Credit Suisse said in a note.
"We expect the price path in the coming days to be volatile.
Nevertheless, price risks are to the upside," the bank said.
Copper stocks in warehouses monitored by the LME fell to a
fresh 2-1/2 year low of 296,425 tonnes on Wednesday, down 2,425
tonnes. The ratio of cancelled warrants, material tagged for
delivery, to total stocks stood at 31.69 percent, mostly in U.S.
locations. §
In contrast, stockpiles of copper at warehouses monitored by
the Shanghai Futures Exchange CU-STX-SGH remained near 10-year
highs at more than 216,000 tonnes, despite dropping slightly
last week for the first time since early December.
Global miner Rio Tinto said it
expects the copper market to stay tight despite growth in
supply, with the company anticipating rising costs and supply
disruptions to continue, following strikes last year.

Cu-Erzgewinnung.
Copper-SPX Disconnect
Friday May 31, 2013 14:33
Anybody halfway attuned to the markets knows that copper has been a 21st-century rock star. No longer just a boring industrial metal, copper is a flamboyant asset that has made fortunes for investors and speculators. It’s soared a staggering 662% from its 2001 low to 2011 high. And still today in the $3.25 region copper is nearly four-fold its 20-year pre-bull-market average.
Copper’s journey has of course played out under an umbrella of structurally strong fundamentals, but by no means has it been a lucid and linear trek. Copper is a commodity after all, and volatility comes with the territory. Over the last dozen years it’s seen wildly exuberant uplegs as well as crushing selloffs.
Driving copper’s interim movements are a confluence of fundamental, technical, and sentimental drivers. And provocatively one of the stickiest in recent years is the flagship S&P 500 stock index (SPX). As irrational as it sounds, there’s no denying the SPX’s influence on copper’s fortunes since early 2009..
