According to the Flinders Resources Limited BB, Dines just recommend Flinders as its newest pick.

This is what user Pimpboss writes:

"Dines just recommended this stock on its intern bulletin!"

I guess Dines is calling himself 'The Original Graphite Bug' these days?

More can be found on the Focus Metals BB. User Tommer 3 writes this:

He has jumped on the Graphite wagon. ................. He recommended RDR and is planting the seed with his readers about the GRAPHITE/GRAPHENE sector and more recomendations may follow.  I cut and pasted a portion of the article that covered Graphite AND is only recomendation.  Nice pop on that stock recommended today.

Up 18.6 % on 1.7 million.

Nice to see dines increasing the awareness out there......should bold well for the sector and for other juniors like this one as more search for a place to invest in this rising tide.

Graphite regards,

Tommer3

PS: And yes...... it is officially dinner time.  Coming dear !!! :)

INTERIM WARNING BULLETIN

26 March 2012, Vol 2012, #6

We have been quietly studying the possibility of our next Super Major bull market, this time by graphite, a form of carbon, which many disregard as something stuffed into old-fashioned "lead" pencils. Graphite's main uses include all batteries, therefore it would participate in the growth of everything from hybrid automotives to the tiny batteries in advanced computers.

Graphite dominates the market for the brake pads in automobiles because it is an outstanding solid lubricant; also as bricks in nuclear-reactor cores and other high-temperature environments in a number of industries. It has been frustrating trying to figure out the best way to play such a new bull market because so many of the candidates are still too early in their development for us to discern which one/ones might emerge as the biggest winners -- since we tend to look for the largest gains possible. We almost announced ourselves as "The Original Graphite Bug," but deliberately held back sufficiently that others began to recommend some graphite stocks -- yet they all missed our single outstanding favorite, Flinders (FDR.V) (rhymes with cinders)..

We expect graphite to be compared with the Rare Earths bull market in many ways, for example that China controls over 70% of the world's output. Nearly all the stocks in the graphite group have relatively small numbers of shares outstanding, so any burst of concentrated buying would tend to make them volatile.

Thus the best way to buy might be to take an initial position if strength follows this recommendation, hoping to add to positions when the stock settles back down -- perhaps in some months. The stock is still lolling near its lows and might be the premiere performer if the group does well; personally, we think Flinders has a good chance of becoming the "best of breed," destined to be the leading graphite blue-chip. We have decided to add Flinders to Supervised List #6, because it involves what we call "The Coming Resource Imperialism," and should benefit from the impact of China's continuing acquisition of small graphite properties. Now trading at Cdn$1.88 (FDR.V) US$1.90 ( FLNXF.PK), we hereby add it to Supervised List #6 for purchase with an appropriately small percentage of your Attack Capital reserves; try to buy it below $2.00.

This is not a blanket recommendation of all graphite stocks, although we suspect that there might be additional recommendations in subsequent IWBs/TDLs.

Next TDL is tentatively scheduled to be published on 13 April 2012.

1. Graphene, a sheet-like form of carbon, garnered Konstantin Novoselov and Andre Geim of the University of Manchester, UK, the 2010 Nobel prize in physics, partly due to an astonishing ability to conduct electricity. This property paves the way for graphene-based computers that operate at unprecedented speed. They sandwich a layer of molybdenum disulphide between two layers of graphene. The insulating molybdenum prevents electrons from flowing between the graphene layers. But when the sandwich transistor is switched on by applying a voltage, it boosts a quantum effect in which some graphene electrons "tunnel" through the molybdenum layer, creating a flow.

Flinders Resources* (FDR : TSX-V : $2.42), Net Change: 0.12, % Change: 5.22%, Volume: 514,626Northern Graphite* (NGC : TSX-V : $3.01), Net Change: 0.33, % Change: 12.31%, Volume: 1,565,736How do you spell woot-woot? G-R-A-P-H-I-T-E. Shares of Northern Graphite and Flinders are now trading well above theprice of their recent announced/closed financings. Investors are jumping over each other to get a piece of these junior graphiteplayers. Resource Investing News highlights that consumer appetite for electronic gadgets such as laptops, smartphones, andMP3 players is fuelling demand for lithium-ion batteries, which contain 20 times more graphite than lithium. Also adding fuelto the fire is the world's move to cleaner vehicles, such as electric cars, which also require lithium-ion batteries. Commenting onthe future prospects of graphite, Chris Berry, founder of House Mountain Partners, stated, “Currently batteries account forroughly 5% of global graphite demand. However, demand for lithium-ion batteries for use in various applications is growing by20% per year. As you need 20 times more graphite in a lithium-ion battery than you do lithium, it is clear that there ispotentially strong demand for large-flake, high-purity graphite in the future." It is estimated that lithium carbonate demand fromlithium-ion batteries will reach 286,000 tonnes by 2020, requiring a six-fold increase in annual flake graphite production to caterto the production of so many batteries. Northern Graphite has stated that only flake graphite, which can be upgraded to 99.9%purity, can be used to make the spherical or potato-shaped graphite used in lithium-ion batteries. Highlighting, “The process isexpensive and wastes 70% of the feedstock flake graphite. As a result, spherical graphite currently sells for $4,000-6,000/tonne,or twice the price of high quality flake graphite.”

The TMR Advanced Graphite Projects Index

by Gareth Hatch on April 10, 2012

Today we announce the launch of the TMR Advanced Graphite Projects Index, an objective tool for tracking the leading new exploration & development projects in the graphite sector. This follows a number of requests to create such an Index, similar to the one that we maintain for the rare-earth sector.

You can visit the new Index page by clicking here or using the short cut: www.graphiteindex.com

While graphite appears to have come out of nowhere to become the new darling of the junior-mining investment community, it is an important industrial material with a wide range of uses..

Flinders Announces Proposed Financing Of $15 Million

Vancouver, Canada -- Flinders Resources Limited ("Flinders") (TSXV : FDR). Mr. Martin McFarlane, President & CEO, announces that Flinders is proposing to undertake a private placement of up to 8,823,530 million units at a price of $1.70 per unit for gross proceeds of up to $15 million. Each unit consists of one common share and one half common share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant will be exercisable at $2.20 per common share for a period of two years from the date of closing of the private placement. The securities issued under the placement will be subject to a four-month hold period from the date of closing. The closing of the private placement is subject to, among other things, final acceptance from the TSX Venture Exchange.

The net proceeds of the private placement will enable Flinders to substantially advance the Kringel graphite mine in Sweden toward production.

Mr McFarlane states: "Flinders' Kringel graphite mine is one of the most advanced graphite projects globally and being already fully permitted and constructed, will be amongst first to deliver premium high quality large flake graphite to European customers. When completed, this financing will enable Flinders to rapidly move forward with its plans to re-start graphite production at Kringel."

"Importantly, with Kringel at such an advanced stage of development, the cost of re-starting operations will be relatively modest and this $15 million financing is expected to deliver to Flinders most if not all of its restart budget requirements."

A finder's fee will be payable on a portion of the financing.

Why Graphite is the High Tech Commodity of the Future

by Dr. Alex Cowie on 27 April 2012

..

This is a commodity that drove the last bull market and made Australian investors rich. But it won’t be the commodity that drives the NEXT bull market.

In fact, it’s getting harder for Aussie resource investors to find new areas of the market to make money from. Mainstream commodities are well known, and often the easy money has been made already.

The good news I want to bring to you is that there is a new generation of investing opportunities in the world of strategic minerals..

Kringel Graphite Mine

Flinders Resources Ltd acquired 100% of the Kringel graphite mine in Sweden in August 2011.

The Kringel mine is located approximately 20km from the town of Edsbyn which is located in central Sweden approximately 300km north of Stockholm.

The mine and processing plant were constructed in 1995 with first production in 1996. Production continued until 2001 when it ceased due to adverse market conditions. Significantly higher graphite prices since 2009 are the major reason why Flinders Resources is evaluating restarting production at Kringel.

The Kringel mine has a historic graphite resource of 6.9 million tonnes containing 8.8% graphite*. The resource is contained in 4 deposits which are within 25 km of the Kringel processing facility.

  • Kringel 1.3mt @ 11.3% C
  • Gropabo 2.1mt @6.9%C
  • Mattsmyra 2.2mt @8.8%C
  • Mansberg 1.3mt@ 9.4%

The resource is sufficient for at least 30 years at full graphite production.

The Kringel mine is fully permitted to produce up to 13,000 tonnes per year of Graphite. It has first class infrastructure including power , water and roads to site, is already built with an open pit mine, processing plant including grinding mills, flotation circuit, drying, sizing and packing operations. Graphite can be blended to customer specification and transported to most European customers by road, rail or ship within 1-3 days.

During its operational phase, a large proportion of the Kringel mine's output was the premium large flake graphite. Typical purity was up to 94% graphite and flake distribution was:

  • 40% large flake +160µm
  • 28% medium flake 75-160 µm; and
  • 32% fine -75 µm

Flinders' Kringel mine is a unique and attractive project. Attractive because

  • Graphite prices have risen strongly due to growing demand from new applications and supply constraints in China;
  • It is a long life high grade graphite deposit;
  • It produced premium, high large flake graphite; and
  • Has considerable upside though expanding the resource below 50m and along strike, expanding production capacity and upgrading graphite quality to lithium battery quality.
  • Unique because
  • It is the only new graphite project located in Europe
  • It has short delivery times to European graphite markets;
  • It can be rapidly put back into production at moderate cost because it is fully permitted and constructed; and
  • It offers European customers a supply alternative to reduce their reliance on Chinese imports.

* The historical resource estimates quoted are based on the NI43-101 report prepared by Albert Thamm of Coffey Mining in November 2011. The resource was calculated using a polygonal method and is broadly similar to CIM definitions "Indicated" and "Inferred". Data is historical in nature and was compiled prior to the implementation of NI 43-101 reporting standards. Flinders has not completed sufficient exploration to verify the estimates. Flinders is not treating them as National Instrument defined resources or reserves verified by a Qualified Person, and the historical estimate should not be relied upon. The Company does not have, and is not aware of, any more recent resource estimates that conform to the standards set out in National Instrument 43-101.

Chris Berry : Observations On The Graphite Market - Where to From Here?

Posted May 9, 2012

Today’s Note:

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”- Sir Winston Churchill - November 1942

I have studied the evolution of the graphite market for the past 15 months. It is fair to say that Sir Winston Churchill’s words are as true in 2012 as they were 70 years ago. We have just returned from a world tour of speaking engagements in Germany, Canada, and the US. Graphite was the topic du jour. There is a great deal of “graphite curiosity” around the world, about how to take advantage of its exploding interest. This desire for education has been responsible for the near-parabolic rise in the share prices of junior mining companies now exploring for graphite..

Hedge fund sniffs for graphite bargains - and we add a few names

The $30 billion New York-based fund manager Och-Ziff Capital Management is looking for exposure to graphite. The Australian Financial Review today says it has heard from local dealers that Och-Ziff “had been scouring the market for exposure to graphite”.That's a fascinating bit of news: some analysts have started saying that the rush-of-blood-to-the-head phase of graphite is over now that stocks have gained so much. But if some savvy market people from New York think there's still money to be made, who can argue with them.?

Flinders Resources, Northern Graphite, Focus Metals).

Flinders Resources Announces Partial Drill Program Results, Galaxy Capital Acquires More Graphite & Syrah Resources’ Shares Rise

This evening I’ll be interviewing Flinders Resources Ltd. (TSXV: FDR) and the timing couldn’t be better. Today news crossing the wires was about results from their first 10 holes of a 37 hole drill program at the Kringel deposit in Sweden. Results from two different drill holes include 13.6 meters at 11.8% graphitic carbon and 18.3 meters at 7.6% graphitic carbon.

The aim of the drill program is to reclassify historic graphite resources estimates to current NI 43-101 standards and to determine the presence of extensions of the deposit below 50 meters and along strike. The Kringel deposit was subject to substantial drilling by its previous owners and has a historic resource estimate of 6.9 million tonnes containing 8.8% graphite in four separate deposits. Historic resources at the Kringel mine site are 1.3 million tonnes at 11.3% graphite.
