Nikolas Perrault, President and CEO of Colt, stated, "We are very pleased with these results which add further confidence to our understanding of the geology and mineralization when combined with results from the very extensive database that we acquired as part of the property acquisition."
Program Strategy
Gold mineralization has been identified in several shallow deposits along a shear zone that extends over some 30 Kilometers. Previous drilling was focussed on the highest grading portions of gold anomalies that closely follow the regional shear. Minimal drilling has been performed to test depth extensions below an average of 100 metres or along strike between known mineralized deposits. Given the shear zone style of mineralization and extensive gold anomalies in soils, there is good potential to build upon previous work that supported several non NI 43-101 compliant resource estimates that range from 150koz to 550koz of gold as defined over the period 1991-2008 (see press release March 7, 2011).
Colt's initial work program during the first half of 2012 is designed to confirm and expand upon extensive historical drilling and trenching performed by previous operators. The company has commenced the implementation of an aggressive advanced stage exploration campaign consisting of a combination of vertical and inclined drill holes positioned to confirm previous drilling results at the Chaminé, Casas Novas and Ligeiro deposits. Geophysical exploration including resistivity and seismic methods are also being employed. This work will greatly expand the geological, geotechnical and metallurgical knowledge base. Our geological team is testing the geological models proposed by previous operators so as to move forward with increased confidence towards resource delineation and mine development. High priority regional targets identified through field prospecting will also be tested. The results of this phase of work will form the basis for an initial NI 43-101 resource estimate to be prepared later in 2012 covering several previously drilled gold bearing deposits within the Boa Fé EML.
Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)
Sample intervals are reported as metres (m) down hole and as such do not represent true widths of mineralized intersections. The morphology of the gold mineralization is yet to be determined.
All drill core is transported by Company personnel from drill site to a nearby secure storage facility for logging and sampling. Sampling intervals are defined after core logging and determination of probable high grade zones based on visible mineralisation and favourable structure. One half of the core is sent for analysis, while the other half is retained in the core boxes for future reference.
All samples are sent by courier to ALS Chemex's facility in Seville, Spain, where they undergo sample preparation. The resulting pulps are shipped by ALS to their laboratory in Romania for gold assay and routine ICP multi-element analysis. Gold analysis for all samples is done via method "Au - AA23" (Au by fire assay and AAS, 30g nominal sample weight). The detection limit for this method is 5 ppb. For every sample with Au values over 3 ppm, the pulp is re-analyzed by method "Au - GRA21" (Au by fire assay and gravimetric finish, 30g nominal sample weight). The detection range for this method is 0.05-1000 ppm.
A set of standards and blanks has been inserted by Colt into the sample stream on a regular basis in addition to the laboratory's own internal QA/QC standards and duplicates. QA/QC results to date are well within the accepted norm.

Colt Resources intersects 0.41%WO3 over 14.46m, including 0.74% WO3 over 5.88m at its Tabuaço Tungsten Project, Northern Portugal Trading Symbols: GTP - (TSX-V) P01 - (FRANKFURT) COLTF - (OTCQX) MONTREAL, Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ - Colt Resources Inc. ("Colt" or the "Company") (TSXV: GTP) (FRA: P01) (OTCQX: COLTF) is pleased to announce that it has received final analytical results for 11 holes from its ongoing drilling campaign at its Tabuaço (São Pedro das Aguias) tungsten project, located in the Company's wholly owned Armamar-Meda concession in northern Portugal. These results represent both resource confirmation drilling at the main Tabuaço resource area and regional exploration to test a previously identified zone that is known to outcrop at Quinta das Herédias, approximately 200 metres to the southeast of Tabuaço. In addition, a scout drill hole (DHT-49) recently completed by Colt Resources to test a soil geochemical anomaly at Quinta da Aveleira, approximately 750 metres northwest of the Tabuaço resource area, has intersected previously undiscovered, scheelite mineralized skarn horizons similar to those intersected at Tabuaço. These represent a grey metasomatized main unit and a pink/green banded lower unit in proximity to a granite contact. Although assay results for this new mineralization are still pending, Colt believes that this new discovery may represent an opportunity to significantly increase resources. The collection of bulk samples using large diameter core to allow more detailed metallurgical testwork to improve recoveries and assist in designing optimal processing methods has also commenced. Colt announced the initial NI 43-101 estimate for the Tabuaço deposit in November 2011 (Press Release November 7th, 2011). Nikolas Perrault, President and CEO of Colt, stated, "The discovery of a new zone of mineralization provides a strong indication that the Tabuaço deposit will grow. We are very pleased with this latest development and look forward to being able to release results as soon as possible." These results are part of an ongoing drilling program designed to provide data on the internal grade and structural consistency of the main Tabuaço skarn hosted tungsten deposit and to test extensions and nearby mineralized skarn horizons with similar characteristics to the main deposit. Nikolas Perrault, President and CEO of Colt, stated, "As positive results continue to arrive, we are confident that our team is developing a firm understanding of this deposit which will support an acceleration of the aggressive exploration campaign already underway designed to confirm and expand the potential of this project."
Program Strategy
Gold mineralization has been identified in several shallow deposits along a shear zone that extends over some 30 Kilometers along strike (Figure 1). Previous drilling (Figure 2) was focussed on the highest grading portions of gold anomalies that closely follow the regional shear. The mineralisation style interpreted in the current model (Figures 3a and 3b) is associated with shears at low-angle to the regional shear direction (S1, S2, T and R) developed due to contrasts in competency between granitic and silica-rich units with pelitic schist within the main regional shear zone. Where conjugate sets of shears (i.e. S1 and S2 with T) the best development of mineralisation occurs. Conjugate sets of mineralisation may occur anywhere within the regional shear zone and are not restricted by depth. Minimal drilling has been performed to test depth extensions below an average of 100 metres or along strike between known mineralized deposits. Given the shear zone style of mineralization and extensive gold anomalies in soils, there is good potential to build upon previous work that supported several non NI43-101 compliant resource estimates that range from 150koz to 550koz of gold as defined over the period 1991-2008 (see press release March 7, 2011).
Colt will continue to test its current ideas on structural interpretation against previous models and aim to finalize a 3D model that incorporates the concept of conjugate shear orientations reinforcing each other and leading to higher grades of gold mineralization. The company will continue its aggressive advanced stage exploration campaign consisting of a combination of vertical and inclined drill holes positioned to confirm previous drilling results at Casas Novas, Ligeiro, Braços and Banhos deposits and investigate the gaps between Chaminé-Casas Novas and Chaminé-Ligeiro to increase resource potential. Results currently being interpreted from geophysical exploration (resistivity and seismic orientation surveys across Chaminé) will greatly assist in advancing targets in the gap areas. High priority regional targets identified through field prospecting will also be tested. The results of this phase of work will form the basis for an initial NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate to be prepared later in 2012 covering several previously drilled gold bearing deposits within the Boa Fé EML.

Where conjugate sets of shears occur (i.e. S1 and S2 with T) the best development of mineralisation occurs. Conjugate sets of mineralisation may occur anywhere within the regional shear zone and are not restricted by depth.
Hole BFCH-12-009 is the last hole in a fence-line drilled along section line 6400N at Chaminé and was drilled in the reverse direction to previous drill campaigns to get better definition of the high grade zone with respect to the low angle shear model (see press release February 28, 2012) and fill in a gap interval in a neighbouring previous hole which was not sampled. The results correlate with the current model for this section within +/- 3m tolerance.

MONTREAL, March 20 /CNW Telbec/ - Colt Resources Inc. ("Colt" or the "Company") (TSXV: GTP) (FRA: P01) (OTCQX: COLTF) is pleased to announce that it has received final analytical results for the Aveleira discovery hole (DHT-49) previously announced on February 22nd, 2012. The Aveleira tungsten target, is located approximately 750m north of the delineated resource at the Tabuaço (São Pedro das aguias) tungsten deposit (Figure 1), both are located in the Company's wholly owned Armamar-Meda concession in northern Portugal.
The results of this significant new discovery comprise intersections of two zones of sub-parallel skarn hosted mineralization. Since the announcement of February 22nd, two additional holes have been completed 30m to the north and 30m to the south of DHT-49 and similar mineralized intervals have been intersected (assay results pending) (Figure 2). The results for the upper main skarn horizon do not include the top 3m of the mineralized zone which was severely weathered and poorly recovered. It is therefore anticipated that as the weathering diminishes with depth from surface the average thickness of the mineralized zone could be larger than that reported.
Nikolas Perrault, President and CEO of Colt, stated, "The results from this discovery hole confirm that our Tabuaco deposit has the potential to be expanded considerably. We are very pleased with this latest development and look forward to being able to release results from the nearby confirmation holes as soon as possible."
These results are part of an ongoing drilling program designed to test extensions and nearby mineralized skarn horizons with similar characteristics to the main deposit at Tabuaço. An initial NI43-101 compliant resource estimate was reported for Tabuaço on November 7th, 2011.
The results for DHT-49 are highlighted as follows:

Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)
Sample intervals are reported as both metres (m) downhole and as true thickness, which have been calculated using cross sectional interpretation of the mineralized intercepts in three dimensions. The actual dip of the skarn controlled mineralization is generally shallow with an average dip of -20(degrees).
All drill core is transported by Company personnel from drill site to a nearby secure storage facility for logging and sampling. Sampling intervals are defined after core logging and determination of scheelite content by examination under short-wave UV-light. One half of the core is sent for analysis, while the other half is retained in the core boxes for future reference.
Samples are sent by courier to ALS Laboratory Group, Seville, Spain. Samples are analyzed for W and Sn using a metaborate fusion followed by XRF. Assay results for tungsten are reported by the laboratory as W%. WO(3) values are calculated using a conversion factor of 1.2611.
A set of standards, duplicates and blanks is inserted by Colt into the sample stream on a regular basis in addition to the laboratory's own internal QA/QC standards and duplicates. QA/QC results to date are well within the accepted norm.

Nikolas Perrault, President and CEO of Colt, stated, "We have commenced the process of unlocking value at Casas Novas, located 400m NW of the Chaminé deposit. These initial near surface results combined with the additional positive near surface results from Chaminé and Ligeiro being reported today, strengthen our resolve to continue our aggressive advanced exploration campaign designed to rapidly develop several previously identified gold deposits located within our 100% controlled Boa Fé project."
Program Strategy
Gold mineralization has been identified in several deposits along a shear zone that extends over some 30 Kilometers along strike (Figure 1). Previous shallow drilling (Figure 2) was focussed on the highest grading portions of gold anomalies that closely follow the regional shear. The mineralisation style interpreted in the current model assumes that high grade gold mineralisation occurs where conjugate sets of shears intersect and reinforce each other (refer to press release 15th March 2012).
Hole BFCH-12-012 was drilled on a short fence-line along section line 6525N at Chaminé. BFCH-12-011 (reported in press release 15th March 2012) was the first hole drilled on this fence. These holes were drilled vertically to get a better definition of the high grade zone which was outlined in an area previously drilled with holes inclined to the north-east (Figure 3). The intersections increase the volume of high grade material above 1g/t Au in this zone and also strengthen the model concept outlined above. This model links the elevated gold mineralization with conjugate shear sets that intersect at shallow angles, creating more space for the passage of gold mineralising fluids.
Hole BFCH-12-010 is a relatively deep inclined hole (deeper than 100m) drilled along section line 6600N at Chaminé which has been successful in intersecting mineralisation in a gap in the northern half of the deposit, where no drilling was performed previously. By infilling this gap, confidence in the resource in this part of the deposit has been significantly improved (see location on Figure 2).
Hole BFCN-12-001 is the first hole in the program to validate previous historical results at Casa Novas and twins a hole previously drilled on behalf of RioFinex. There appears to be an acceptable correlation between the two sets of results in terms of grade and grade distribution. Hole BFLG-12-002 confirms the presence of significant mineralization at Ligeiro reported by the historical drilling.
Colt will continue to test its current ideas on structural interpretation against previous models and aims to finalize a 3D model that incorporates the concept of conjugate shear orientations reinforcing each other and leading to higher grades of gold mineralization. The Company will continue its aggressive advanced stage exploration campaign at Boa Fé consisting of a combination of vertical and inclined drill holes positioned to confirm previous drilling results at the Chaminé, Casas Novas, Ligeiro, Braços and Banhos deposits and investigate the gaps between Chaminé-Casas Novas and Chaminé-Ligeiro to increase resource potential.
Minimal drilling has been performed to test depth extensions below an average of 100 metres or along strike between known mineralized deposits. Given the shear zone style of mineralization and extensive gold anomalies in soils, there is good potential to build upon previous work that supported several non NI43-101 compliant resource estimates (see press release March 7, 2011).
Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)
Drill sample intervals are reported as metres (m) down hole and as such do not represent true widths of mineralized intersections. All drill core is transported by the Company personnel from drill site to a nearby secure storage facility for logging and sampling. Sampling intervals are defined after core logging and determination of probable high grade zones based on visible mineralisation and favourable structure. The core is halved using a rotary diamond blade core saw, with one half of the core sent for analysis, while the other half is retained in the core boxes for future reference.
All half core samples are sent by courier to ALS Chemex's facility in Seville, Spain, where they undergo sample preparation.
A set of standards and blanks has been inserted by Colt into the drill sample stream on a regular basis in addition to the laboratory's own internal QA/QC standards and duplicates. QA/QC results to date are well within the accepted norm.
