Yamana Gold hat seine brasilianischen Sorgenkinder als Spin-Off abgestoßen. Der erste Kurs lag im Januar 2017 bei 3,25 CAD. Aktuell notiert Brio Gold bei 2,25 C$. Kein Wunder, zuvor hatte Yamana vergeblich versucht einen Käufer für die Minen zu finden. Das Hauptproblem sehe ich in den vergleichsweise hohen Kosten.

Im Mai hatte Yamana Gold dann seinen Anteil von 79 auf 53% verringert (zu 3,00 CAD), Vertrauen sieht anders aus.

Im Gesamtjahr 2017 plant Brio Gold eine Produktion zwischen 198-223 koz Gold zu AISC zwischen 995 und 1015 $/oz. Angesichts der schwachen operativen Performance im ersten Halbjahr 2017 muss sich Brio Gold noch deutlich strecken um seine Jahresziele zu erreichen.

Brio Gold hat in Q3/17 rund 43 koz Gold produziert

Die Produktion ist weiterhin schwach, die Kosten bleiben hoch. Wie ich schon in Posting #1 vermutet hatte, konnte Brio Gold seinen Ausblick nicht halten und musste ihn nach unten revidieren. Die Produktionsprognose sinkt von 198-223 koz auf 183-198 koz Gold, während der AISC-Ausblick von 995-1015 auf 1115-1125$/oz steigt. Yamana wusste schon genau warum sie sich von diesen Minen trennen wollten.

• Implemented forward contract currency hedges for 2019 at an average fixed rate of R$3.40 to US$1.00 for R$120 million and at R$3.50 to US$1.00 for $120 million.
• Hedged 30,000 ounces of gold over 15 months with zero cost collars with a put and call strike prices of $1,300 and $1,340 per ounce of gold, respectively.
