Die neuen Fahrzeuge werden auf der Norderweiterung der Gold Coast Light Rail nach Helensvale (als Abschnitt 2 bezeichnet) genutzt und in Vorbereitung auf die 2018 in Gold Coast stattfindenden Commonwealth Games geliefert und einsatzbereit sein.

Die Gold Coast-Straßenbahnen basieren auf Bombardiers erfolgreichen FLEXITY Straßenbahnen und sind in den Stadtfarben Blau und Goldgelb gehalten. Außerdem ziert ein Wellenmotiv die Vorderseite der Fahrerkabine. Bei der preisgekrönten Bahn, die von Bombardiers Industriedesign-Team in Brisbane entworfen wurde, handelt es sich um die weltweit erste mit speziell entworfenen Surfboard-Haltern.
Die 43,4 m langen und 2,65 m breiten Straßenbahnen bestehen aus sieben Modulen und bieten somit höhere Kapazität und einen besseren Fahrgastfluss. Die Fahrzeuge sind mit dem energieeffizienten BOMBARDIER MITRAC Antriebssystem ausgestattet. BOMBARDIER FLEXX Drehgestelle sorgen für hohe Laufruhe und eine komfortable Fahrt. Die Straßenbahnen werden an Bombardiers Standorten in Bautzen und Wien gefertigt. Bis heute wurden rund 3500 FLEXITY Fahrzeuge bestellt oder sind erfolgreich im Linienverkehr in Städten auf der ganzen Welt unterwegs.
Das GCLRT-Projekt ist Teil einer 18-jährigen öffentlich-privaten Partnerschaft zwischen der Regierung von Queensland und dem GoldLinQ-Konsortium, dem auch Bombardier Transportation angehört. Als lizenzierter Betreiber der ersten Ausbaustufe ist GoldLinQ für Planung, Bau, Betrieb sowie die Wartung der Flotte verantwortlich.

Bombardier Inc. rose the most in seven weeks amid optimism that new Chief Executive Officer Alain Bellemare and his lieutenants will deliver on a plan to boost earnings at the struggling plane- and trainmaker in the next five years.
People like the management, David Tyerman, a Canaccord Genuity analyst, said in a telephone interview Wednesday. This management team gives a ton more information than the previous team. At least we have an idea of where we are going.
The stock rally followed an investor presentation that was the first since Bombardier secured $2.5 billion in investments from the government of Quebec and the provinces public pension fund manager. Including Bellemare, six of the eight senior leaders who appeared Tuesday werent with the company when the year began.
Bombardiers widely traded Class B shares climbed 12 percent, the most since Oct. 6, to C$1.32 at the close in Toronto on volume that was more than twice the trailing 12-month daily average. That pared the year-to-date decline to 68 percent, which is still the most among Canadian industrial companies.

Tuesdays meeting included presentations by Chief Financial Officer John Di Bert -- who said the company needed to show improved performance, not just offer promises -- and Bombardier Commercial Aircraft President Fred Cromer, who suggested the jetmaker is focused on finding higher-profile C Series buyers to add prestige to a customer list now tilted toward smaller carriers and lessors.
Investors "say forward risk associated with liquidity is now pretty much off the table," Nicholas Heymann, a William Blair & Co. analyst, said by telephone from New York. Bombardier has "managed to complete the de-risking phase," he said.
Pension-fund manager Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec agreed last week to take a 30 percent stake in Bombardiers rail business for $1.5 billion, boosting the division that Bellemare had explored taking public. The accord came after Quebecs government said on Oct. 29 that it would invest $1 billion to prop up the C Series program.

GlobalParts.aero will now be responsible for all planning, stocking and parts distribution for Learjet 20, Learjet 30 and Learjet 50 series aircraft
Bombardier Business Aircraft and GlobalParts.aero have entered into a strategic collaboration for all inventory of the Learjet 20, Learjet 30, and Learjet 50 series aircraft. GlobalParts.aero, a Kansas-based aviation parts supplier, will take over the primary responsibility for all planning, stocking and distribution of aircraft parts of these Learjet series aircraft.
“We are extremely pleased to collaborate with GlobalParts.aero in this venture. This agreement will ensure that many more parts will be available at a competitive price and we expect it will have a positive impact on our operators’ cost of ownership," said Bill Molloy, Vice President of Parts Services, Bombardier Business Aircraft.

Approximately 2,000 Learjet 20, Learjet 30, and Learjet 50 series aircraft were produced from the 1960s into the early 2000s, with the majority still in service.

Oder wie denkt ihr schaut die Lage zurzeit aus?
Ist eben abhängig von der CSeries, die Engpässe bei der Transportation kriegt man wohl durch "Verlagerungen" bzw. schlanke Fertigung in Görlitz & Bautzen zb. in den Griff.
Weitere Fehlschläge sollte es allerdings nicht mehr geben.

Iraq Gate commenced service in March 2015 with its first CRJ200 aircraft, adding two more in recent months. Iraq Gate will initially operate the aircraft, which were acquired by Arab Wings from a third party, on several domestic routes from Baghdad. Die Zertifizierung der CSeries
Bombardier sagt, es habe alle notwendigen Testflüge für den strauchelnden CS100-Jet beendet und erwarte, dass die Zertifizierung des Flugzeuges seitens Transport Canada bis zum Ende des Monates durch ist. Sollte die CSeries in ein bis zwei Wochen zertifiziert werden, sollte die Aktie nett steigen, da der Markt nicht davon überzeugt zu sein scheint, dass Transport Canada vor Ende Januar fertig wird.

Die Zertifizierung sollte auch den Weg für neue Bestellungen ebnen.

Bombardier Transportation - Alstom consortium, signed a framework contract to supply up to 1,362 M7 double deck cars to the Belgian National Railways (SNCB-NMBS). The total order is valued at 3.3 billion euro ($3.6 billion US). Bombardier's part is worth around 2.1 billion euro ($2.3 billion US) while Alstom's share is worth 1.2 billion euro ($1.3 billion US).
The first firm order signed today includes the design and manufacturing of 445 cars and is valued at approximately 1.3 billion euro ($1.4 billion US). Bombardier's share is valued at 787 million euro ($853 million US) while Alstom's share is valued at 471 million euro ($511 million US). Deliveries for this first order will take place between September 2018 and 2021. The frame contract also includes options for up to 917 additional cars.
Bombardier's site in Bruges (Belgium), will provide 65 multifunctional steering cars and 290 trailer cars. Alstom will design and build 90 motorized cab cars in its Valenciennes site (France) with the support of its electrical and signalling centre of excellence based in Charleroi (Belgium). Alstom will also develop and produce the ETCS level 2 system to equip the total fleet.
Laurent Troger, President, Bombardier Transportation, said, "This framework contract for almost 1,400 double deck coaches will provide the people of Belgium with the highest standard of modern mobility solutions. It also confirms SNCB-NMBS' trust in Bombardier's products and technology, further strengthening our long term partnership".
"This order clearly reflects the strong confidence the SNCB-NMBS has in our double-deck trains and the level of comfort they offer. It is also an indication that the vehicles are really appreciated by the passengers and represent the ideal answer to increasing ridership", said Andreas Knitter, Senior Vice-President Alstom Europe.
These new trains will increase the overall capacity on SNCB-NMBS' network by adding an additional 145,000 seats. The trains will be able to run at speeds of up to 200km/h and will operate on all Belgian mainlines, cross border with the Netherlands and Luxembourg, including on some high speed lines.The M7 concept is based on the very successful and highly reliable M6 double deck cars, of which 492 were delivered by the same Bombardier - Alstom consortium. The completely redesigned interior of both first and second class cars was validated by the customer after consulting over 200 representatives from different user groups. The new interior and an improved passenger information system will provide travellers with enhanced passenger comfort while the multifunctional steering cars will feature wheelchair access and space for bicycles.

Bombardier CSeries 100 zertifiziert
MONTREAL - Sechs Monate nach ihrem ersten öffentlichen Auftritt in Le Bourget erhielt Bombardiers Neuentwicklung am Freitag (18.12.2015) von Transport Canada ihre Zulasssung. Das inzwischen über fünf Milliarden US-Dollar teure Projekt schließt eine seit langem brachliegende Marktlücke im Segment der 100 bis 150 Sitzer.
Das EIS der CS100 bei Erstkunde Swiss ist für Sommer 2016 geplant, ebenso die Zulassung der größeren Schwester CS300. Ihr Erstkunde ist Air Baltic.
Eine Programmverzögerung von über zwei Jahren und ein schwerer Schaden mit einem Triebwerk am Prototyp FTV1 haben die Entwicklung um zwei Milliarden US-Dollar verteuert und das Projekt gefährdet.
Nach erfolgloser Suche eines Programmpartners (unter anderem sprach Bombardier bei Airbus vor) sprang der Staat Kanada mit der Provinz Quebec als Juniorpartner ein und rettete das Programm mit einer Anschubfinanzierung in Milliardenhöhe.
Für Fred Cromer, Präsident von Bombardier Commercial Aircraft ist die Zulassung des größten jemals in Kanada entwickelten Verkehrsflugzeugs ein Meilenstein in der Geschichte Bombardiers - die CSeries Familie sei die "neue Realität" im Single-Aisle-Markt, so Cromer in der Aussendung vom Freitag.
Mit der nun vorliegenden Zertifizierung der CS100 dürfte auch bei den Verkäufern wieder Optimismus einkehren. Zwar verweist Bombardier auf 243 Festaufträge sowie Optionen und Kaufrechte für weitere 360 Einheiten, Neukunden lassen aber auf sich warten. Gespräche mit Air Canada, JetBlue und United brachten bisher noch kein Ergebnis.
Bombardier setzt auf industrieweit beste Benchmarks, ökonomisch wie ökologisch, und verspricht ihren Kunden mit dem von Grund auf neu entwickelten Muster pro Flugzeug Einsparungen von 7,5 bis 12 Millionen US-Dollar.
Eine Reichweite von inzwischen über 6.000 Kilometer eröffnet auch neue Märkte für "dünne" Langstrecken. Zudem soll der Verbrauch um 20 Prozent günstiger liegen als jedes in Produktion befindliche Konkurrenzmuster.
Die primär für Kurz- und Mittelstrecken konzipierte CS100 kann bis zu 125 Fluggäste befördern, die größere CS300 bis zu 160. Damit deckt die CSeries eine seit Ende der DC9/MD87/717 Ära klaffende Marktlücke, die auch durch verkleinerte Versionen der 737/320 Reihen nicht gefüllt werden konnte. Sowohl der Airbus A318 als auch die Boeing 737-600 scheiterten an zu hohem Gewicht und nicht absetzbaren Sitzkosten.
Der Kursanstieg wird aber bestimmt seinen Weg fortsetzen.
Meine Schätzung liegt für Montag bei weiteren +10%
Was denkt Ihr??
Der extrem niedrige Ölpreis ist natürlich eher ein Dämpfer, aber da der Flieger auch in anderer Hinsicht meiner Meinung nach technisch überzeugt (insbesondere in Hinsicht auf City-Airports / Lärm) bin ich da erstmal zuversichtlich.
Für den Fall eines plötzlichen extremen Spikes habe ich für die Hälfte meiner Bombardier-Position schon eine Limit-Sell auf 2,50 - damit wäre das Ursprungsinvestment +25% schon mal wieder liquide. Aber erstmal abwarten was die nächste Woche so bringt. Nochmals +10% halte ich auf Basis der aktuellen Lage aber auch für realistisch.
Ja is denn heut scho Weihnachten ??
Das ist ja quasi eine Kursexplosion wenn man die letzten Wochen betrachtet.
Aber so in etwa habe ich mir das vorgestellt nach Abschluss der Zertifizierung und ich bin mir sicher das sich das Warten auszahlen wird. Allerdings wird das Warten noch etwas andauern. Schätze vor Auslieferung des Ersten Fliegers Mitte 2016 werden wir keine riesen Sprünge erleben.
