Der USA Bären-Thread
With widespread southern European dissatisfaction with how the EU abandoned its supposed liberal ideals, particularly Germany, in favour of serving inward self-interests, bloc leaders are now playing catch up. President of the European Commission and Angela Merkel's right-hand man in previous German governments, Ursula Von Der Leyen, and the President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde, who was also a former member of the Troika of bankers, announced the unprecedented measures to assist Europe through its financial woes. This time they promised real aid that would not completely decimate state structures and entire economies like what happened to Greece, Spain, Portugal, and to a lesser extent Italy, for the entirety of the 2010’s. The Governor of the Bank of Italy expects a 13% drop in GDP in 2020, and for this reason Toppi emphasized that Italy does not need any further indebtedness which will increasingly put Italy in the hands of international speculators.
An “Italexit” would be a bigger blow to the prestige of the EU then Brexit. .....

On Sunday night, New York’s top terrorism cop, Deputy Commissioner for Intelligence and Counterterrorism John Miller, detailed his office’s analysis and investigation into why the New York City protests have become so violent and damaging at times.
“No. 1, before the protests began,” Miller said, “organizers of certain anarchist groups set out to raise bail money and people who would be responsible to be raising bail money, they set out to recruit medics and medical teams with gear to deploy in anticipation of violent interactions with police.”
And once the protests started, these groups used “a complex network of bicycle scouts” to direct rioters to locations where police officers would not be present…
“And they developed a complex network of bicycle scouts to move ahead of demonstrators in different directions of where police were and where police were not for purposes of being able to direct groups from the larger group to places where they could commit acts of vandalism including the torching of police vehicles and Molotov cocktails where they thought officers would not be.”

A breakdown released by the central bank on Tuesday showed it is bought €235 billion ($263 billion) of assets through the end of May, with €103 billion of purchases in April and €116 billion in May.
So far, the ECB has focused nearly all of PEPP on government bonds. It purchased €186.6 billion of public-sector securities using the program.
It disproportionately bought Italian bonds relative to what’s called its capital key, with Spain and perhaps surprisingly Germany a winner, while France was the main loser, according to an analysis from Pictet Wealth Management strategist Frederik Ducrozet. The ECB’s actions have helped to limit the spread between Italian bond yields and Germany’s...
The yield on the 10-year Italian government bond TMBMKIT-10Y, 1.531% has dropped to 1.52% on Tuesday from 2.38% in the middle of March.
The yield on the 10-year German government bond TMBMKDE-10Y, -0.383%, which has been negative for more than a year, was -0.41%.
The ECB also stepped into the commercial paper market, buying €35 billion of securities there, while it is only purchased €10.6 billion of corporate bonds...."

Habe viel Geld verloren - TonyS - bist mitnichten alleine.
Super Thread - sehr interessant, danke.

Stock futures rise as markets shake off unrest, lousy ADP data
tock futures extended gains Wednesday morning as investors set their sights on more major cities’ plans to reopen businesses in the near-term as the coronavirus pandemic eased.
More dour economic figures underscored the damage wrought by the COVID-19 crisis, with U.S. employers shaving off nearly 2.8 million private payrolls in May, according to a report Wednesday from ADP.
However, markets shrugged off the data, which as the data beat consensus expectations by a mile. On average, Wall Street economists expected private sector job losses to total 9 million for the month, according to a Bloomberg survey.
“The ADP report isn't always a reliable predictor of the [nonfarm payrolls] data, but it suggests that the pace of job loss moderated noticeably between April and May, even though it remained substantial relative to pre-COVID-19 norms,” JPMorgan Chase economist Daniel Silver wrote in a note on Wednesday.

Frauenquoten?
12% p.a. bedeutet den Tenbagger in 20 Jahren!
Kurs Performance +580% (7,7% p.a.), inkl. reinvestierte Dividenden (ohne Steuerabfluss!) +1010% (9,7% p.a.
