This equates to just over $19 billion going back into crypto markets in the past 6 hours to put them at the $255 billion level. Trade volume has climbed from $11 to $14 billion but is still relatively low. The markets are back at the same level they were this time last Saturday but over the past month are still down 23%.

CEO Of BitMEX: Up! Up! Up!
Arthur Hayes, CEO of BitMEX, popular leveraged trading exchange, still has his eyes set on the $50,000 EOY price prediction that he made earlier this year. Hayes, a former traditional assets trader and a graduate of Wharton, has made a name for himself in the cryptocurrency industry after a tenure on the Asian ‘Wall Street’.
Later adding that the cryptocurrency market is perhaps “one positive regulatory decision away, maybe an ETF approved by the SEC, to climbing through $20,000 or even $50,000 by the end of the year.”

Making the point afterward that whether the number is 20 or $25,000 its still a 200% gain from where BTC is today. Lee’s prediction is partly based on future Bitcoin mining costs. He explained his thinking by saying “The reason bitcoin looks really good here is the cost of mining around $7,000 fully loaded. And the difficulty is rising. So by the end of the year, it’s going to be $9,000.”

The CoinGape article appears to have reached the date due to a notice from the SEC stating that a decision will be no less than 45 days from the date of publication in the Federal Register. The SEC noticewas published on June 26, but that’s not the same date that it was published in the Federal Register.
The Federal Register publication only appeared on July 2, meaning the date for a decision can be no sooner than August 16. Even then, the date can be extended if required and even once the eventual date does arrive the SEC can still initiate further proceedings to assist in decision making.
