PALM BEACH, Fla., Nov 24, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Applied Digital Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSX), an advanced technology development company, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Pacific Decision Sciences Corporation (PDSC), has won a five-year extension on its existing three-year contract with Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G), a subsidiary of Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG).

Under the contract, which has an estimated value of $6 million, PDSC will provide maintenance and support for the PSE&G Gas Division's Service Management System (GSIMS). Applied Digital Solutions' PDSC unit is in the business of selling, maintaining and enhancing a suite of proprietary service automation software.

  Ein weiterer Gewinner des ersten bekannt gewordenen Falles von BSE in den USA ist die Digital Angel Corp., ein Unternehmen, welches Mikrochips für die Implantation bei Tieren entwickelt hat.
Die von der FDA zugelassenen Chips zeichnen zahlreiche Informationen wie beispielsweise die Körpertemperatur des Tieres auf und lassen so Rückschlüsse auf den Gesundheitszustand zu. Das Unternehmen wurde in einem Bericht in der New York Times erwähnt. Nachdem die Aktie bereits am Mittwoch stark zulegte, gewinnt sie aktuell weitere 39,5 Prozent auf 3,39 Dollar.

Die Aktie der Applied Digital Solutions Inc., welche die Mehrheit an Digital Angel hält, gewinnt aktuell 14,2 Prozent auf 0,41 Dollar.
