FARNBOROUGH (dpa-AFX) - Die Luftfahrtmesse in Farnborough hat dem Flugzeugbauer Airbus (Airbus Group (EADS) Aktie) nach der jüngsten Stornierungswelle wieder kräftigen Rückenwind verschafft. Vor allem die Neuauflagen der Mittel- und Langstreckenjets A320 und A330 mit dem Beinamen "neo" fanden reißenden Absatz. Airbus sammelte Fest- und Vorverträge für 500 Maschinen mit einem Listenpreis-Wert von 75 Milliarden US-Dollar (55 Mrd Euro) ein. US-Rivale Boeing (Boeing Aktie) (Boeing Aktie) kam nur auf gut 200 Flugzeuge für 40 Milliarden Dollar. Wegen der vielen Abbestellungen bei Airbus liegen die Amerikaner bei der Auftragsbilanz in diesem Jahr jedoch weiter vorn.

Von der erst am Montag vorgestellten A330neo wurden die Europäer binnen vier Tagen 121 Exemplare los. Mit moderneren Triebwerken und veränderten Tragflächen soll der Jet 14 Prozent weniger Treibstoff verbrauchen als der 20 Jahre alte Vorgängertyp A330. Airbus will damit Boeings komplett neu entwickeltem Langstreckenjet 787 "Dreamliner" Paroli bieten. Von der Entscheidung will auch der britische Triebwerksbauer Rolls-Royce (Rolls-Royce Holdings Aktie) profitieren: Er baut den einzigen Antriebstyp für die A330neo.

Als Erstkunden unterzeichneten die malaysische Billigfluglinie AirAsia, die russische Transaero Airlines sowie drei Flugzeugfinanzierer Vorverträge für den Flieger, der Ende 2017 erstmals ausgeliefert werden soll. Im Gegenzug zur Neuauflage streicht Airbus die ähnlich große Kurzversion seines Großraumjets A350 aus dem Programm. Für die anderen Varianten der A350 fand sich mit Air Mauritius nur ein Neukunde, der vier Maschinen bestellen will.

Boeing konnte von seinem jüngsten Modell "Dreamliner" dagegen 18 Maschinen losschlagen. Zudem zurrte der US-Konzern einen Großauftrag von Qatar Airways für 50 Exemplare des modernisierten Langstreckenjets 777-9X im Wert von knapp 19 Milliarden Dollar fest. Die ganz großen Flugzeugtypen warteten hingegen vergeblich auf Käufer: Weder für Boeings Jumbo 747-8 noch Airbus' doppelstöckiges Flaggschiff A380 wurden auf der Messe Verträge abgeschlossen.

Der Löwenanteil der Vor- und Festbestellungen entfällt bei beiden Herstellern auf die Mittelstreckenjets. Die spritsparende Neuauflage von Airbus' Verkaufsschlagers A320, die A320neo, knackte auf der Messe die Marke von 3000 Festbestellungen seit ihrer Vorstellung vor dreieinhalb Jahren. Boeings Konkurrenzflieger, die 737-MAX, kommt inzwischen auf mehr als 2000 Exemplare.

Airbus-Chef Fabrice Brégier sprach angesichts der Auftragsbilanz von "der besten Farnborough Airshow in der Geschichte" des Flugzeugbauers. Allerdings war der europäische Flugzeugbauer im ersten Halbjahr wegen mehr als 200 Abbestellungen deutlich hinter Boeing zurückgefallen. Im Juni hatte die arabische Fluglinie Emirates ihre Bestellung für 70 Exemplare des neuen Airbus-Großraumjets A350 gestrichen. Auch bei den Mittelstreckenjets aus der A320-Familie musste Airbus bereits verbuchte Aufträge wieder hergeben.

Einschließlich der verbindlichen Messeaufträge hat Airbus seit Jahresbeginn nun Festbestellungen für 873 Maschinen eingesammelt - 64 mehr als Boeing. Nach Abzug der Stornierungen bleiben bei den Europäern allerdings nur 648 übrig. Boeing liegt hier netto mit 755 Maschinen vorn. /stw/he

Laut Fernandes ist die "neo" um 15 Prozent billiger zu betreiben als Boeings Konkurrenzflieger 787-9 "Dreamliner". "Das erlaubt uns, niedrigere Ticketpreise zu verlangen." AirAsia baut mit seinem Ableger AirAsia-X sein Billigangebot auf der Langstrecke vor allem innerhalb Asiens aus. Dazu hat die Airline bereits 17 herkömmliche A330 in Betrieb und 34 weitere bestellt. Malaysia's AirAsia X Shares Hit 2-Month Low on Weaker Q2 Earnings

Shares of Malaysia's AirAsia X Bhd dropped as much as 6.7 percent on Wednesday to their lowest since July 22, after the long-haul arm of Asia's biggest low cost carrier by passengers, AirAsia Bhd, reported weaker-than-expected second-quarter earnings.

The stock ended the morning session lower 4.88 percent at 78 sen, underperforming the broader index's 0.06 percent rise.

"First half of 2014 core net loss of 225 million ringgit already exceeded our previous full-year loss estimate due to weaker-than-expected yields," CIMB Research said in a report on Wednesday. "We more than double our loss forecasts for 2014-2015."

The research house also cut its target price for AirAsia X to 72 sen per share from 75 sen and downgraded the stock to "reduce" from "hold".

AirAsia X on Tuesday reported a net loss of 128.8 million ringgit for the April-June period, versus a net loss of 32.3 million ringgit a year ago, due to higher operating costs and weaker yields. Revenue, however, rose 36.7 percent year-on-year to 671.6 million ringgit.
