Millennium Cell Technology to Power Intel Demonstration at the 23rd International Battery Seminar and Exhibit

EATONTOWN, N.J., Mar 08, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Millennium Cell Inc. (NASDAQ: MCEL), a leading developer of hydrogen battery technology, announced today that it will be providing a fuel cell power source for Intel's demonstration of their proposed notebook PC Mobile Power System (MPS) at the 23rd International Battery Seminar and Exhibit from March 13th to March 16th. The seminar will take place at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The demonstration will be held at the Intel booth.
The MPS architecture addresses many issues with power sources, among them the desire to provide power sharing between a fuel cell and a notebook battery.

Millennium Cell will provide a prototype 15 watt hydrogen battery, composed of a thin PEM fuel cell and Millennium Cell's Hydrogen on Demand(R) fuel cartridge. The hydrogen battery will provide the power which will be managed by the MPS system to operate a notebook PC. The hydrogen battery is a sealed, single-use cartridge similar in size and shape to a traditional battery pack.

One of the highlights of this show will be a presentation of market research organized by the Mobile PC Extended Battery Life Working Group (EBLWG) of which Millennium Cell is a member. The research indicated a strong user and IT manager preference for an integrated fuel cell power system like the one being developed by Millennium Cell and showcased at this event. The research also suggests a willingness to pay more for this added functionality and mobility.

"We are delighted to support Intel's demonstration at the conference and demonstrate our hydrogen battery to potential licensees in the power source industry," commented Adam Briggs, President of Millennium Cell. "Intel's latest demonstration of the MPS highlights the value of their technology by providing a flexible interface for new notebook PC power sources like fuel cells. We look forward to working with Intel and the EBLWG to continue to evolve our complementary technologies."

Millennium Cell Receives Notification of Allowance for Two U.S. Patent Applications; Key New Patents for Portable Hydrogen Battery Applications

EATONTOWN, N.J., Apr 17, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Millennium Cell Inc. (NASDAQ: MCEL) announced today that it has received Notices of Allowance from the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office for U.S. Patent Application Publication Number 2004/0035054 A1 entitled "System for Hydrogen Generation," and U.S. Patent Application Publication Number 2004/0148857 A1 entitled "Hydrogen Gas Generation System." As a result of these allowances, Millennium Cell now has 32 issued patents and 63 patents pending worldwide. The Company believes this represents the broadest patent portfolio in boron hydride hydrogen storage technology available for license in the world today.
The two newly allowed applications describe, among other important concepts, fuel cartridges for hydrogen storage and delivery systems that are the basis for our portable hydrogen batteries such as the Protonex 30 watt soldier power system, as well as hydrogen storage and delivery systems that can strip water out of the hydrogen stream produced by the Company's system. This has the benefits of increasing the energy density of a hydrogen battery by reusing water that would otherwise evaporate in the system for additional hydrogen generation and the added ability to produce a dry hydrogen stream for certain applications.

Millennium Cell is focused on using its Hydrogen on Demand(R) technology to develop integrated hydrogen batteries with its licensees. To support this strategy, the Company is aggressively pursuing a number of patents using sodium borohydride in both solid and liquid based systems which provide safety, performance, and cost advantages over traditional batteries and competing alternative technologies.

"These new patents demonstrate our leadership position in the use of boron hydrides as a hydrogen storage and delivery vehicle," commented Adam P. Briggs, Millennium Cell's President. "By incorporating our patented technology into energy dense and safe fuel cartridges, we are working in concert with our licensees to deliver compelling battery solutions for military, industrial, medical and consumer portable devices."

Ich glaub hier entsteht was Großes.

Könnte ne wunderschöne Untertasse werden und dann up to the sky!

Millennium Cell Awarded U.S. Air Force Phase I SBIR Contract

EATONTOWN, N.J., May 01, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Millennium Cell Inc. (NASDAQ: MCEL), a leading developer of hydrogen battery technology, today announced that it has been awarded a Phase I Small Business Innovation Research Program ("SBIR") contract by the Air Force Research Laboratory ("AFRL") to develop a sodium borohydride based fuel cartridge design that has the flexibility to operate with either ready-to-use, premixed solutions of sodium borohydride, or alternatively, with solid fuel packets that a warfighter can combine with available field water or bodily fluids. This deliverable is a key step on the pathway to development of a lightweight, high-energy and cost effective portable power source for the military.
The ability to ship cartridges containing dry sodium borohydride fuel which can be mixed with an available water supply at point of use would result in a significant reduction in weight to be handled by the military's supply chain as well as provide a direct benefit to the warfighter in the field. The results of this work will help the military determine the best option for re-fueling and distributing man-portable hydrogen batteries such as Protonex Technology Corporation's 30-watt portable soldier power system ("P2"), particularly those deployed in remote locations or extreme situations. A program to study use of field water in larger systems was awarded to Millennium Cell by the U.S. Army in November of last year.

"We welcome the U.S. Air Force's leadership and vision in funding the development of our hydrogen battery technology for use in a variety of military applications," commented Adam P. Briggs, Millennium Cell President. "This new program will provide the military with a flexible fuel cartridge design which can be shipped dry and field hydrated. When dry, this system will be one-fifth of the weight of the batteries in use today, enabling significant logistical and operational flexibility over incumbent and alternative power sources."

Dr. Thom Reitz, AFRL Program Manager added, "The Air Force is aggressively pursuing innovative ideas and major performance advances in power generation and energy storage. Technologies such as those proposed by Millennium Cell could enable significant increases in energy density reducing the weight burden to airmen in the field."

"I strongly believe hydrogen is the fuel of the future. That's what we're talking about. Hydrogen is used in a fuel cell that can power a car that uses no gasoline, produces no pollution or greenhouse gas emissions. Hydrogen vehicles can be twice as efficient as gasoline vehicles. Hydrogen can be produced from domestic energy sources, which means it has the potential -- a vast potential -- to dramatically cut our dependence on foreign oil."

-- President George W. Bush
April 22, 2006

The President's 2007 Budget will provide $289 million – an increase of $53 million over FY06 – to accelerate the development of hydrogen fuel cells
