Oriental gets three more uranium licences

ORIENTAL GRANTED ADDITIONAL URANIUM EXPLORATION LICENSES IN SOUTH KOREA

Oriental Minerals Inc. has received the grant of three uranium exploration and mining licences known as Daejeon 80 (registration No. 77073), Geumsan 81 (registration No. 77072) and Goisan 116 (registration No. 77074) in the Ogcheon region of South Korea.

These are the second set of uranium licenses granted to a foreign company in South Korea. The first licenses granted to a foreign company to explore for uranium in South Korea were announced by OTL in January (see OTL News Releases of January 14 and May 28, 2008).

Commenting on the grant, Mr. Ian Fodie, the newly appointed President and CEO of OTL, said, "This additional grant of uranium licenses represents progress by our energy exploration team, furthering our efforts to establish a viable uranium asset base for exploration and potential development in South Korea."

The initial two licenses announced in January plus the three today are part of a series currently under application based upon OTL's exploration program covering an approximate 90-kilometre strike length of carbonaceous metasediments identified as containing prospective coincident uranium and vanadium.

Two of the three new granted tenements (Daejeon 80 and Geumsan 81) occur along strike to the south-west of the two tenements granted in January of this year (Daejeon 39 and 29), and represent increased coverage by OTL of probably the most potentially economic uraniferous section of the southern end of the Ogcheon Belt. The third new granted tenement (Goisan 116) is located within a second potentially productive uraniferous zone at the northeastern end of the Ogcheon Belt. Each mining license title is approximately 1.88 x 1.50 kilometres, or 2.82 km2.

An initial exploration program of geological mapping and radiometric ground surveys will be followed by diamond drilling (part of the 6000 metres announced in OTL's news release of January 14, 2008) to define the potential for significant uranium resources within these registered mining rights. The target carbonaceous metasedimentary horizons are regarded as analogues of the Chattanooga (USA) and Alum (Sweden) shales, but typically with relatively higher anomalous uranium (often in excess of 0.02% U) and vanadium (often in excess of 0.3% V). The carbonaceous metasediments form part of the late Precambrian to early Palaeozoic Guryongsan Formation and extend for approximately 90 kilometres within the NE-SW trending Ogcheon structural lower greenschist facies zone.

Oriental Minerals is focused on developing world-class mining projects in South Korea. Its flagship Sangdong tungsten-molydenum project is undergoing a Preliminary Economic Assessment as a further step to revitalizing what was formerly one of the largest tungsten mines in the world.

Die Marktlage ist einfach Sch....  

Das gibt es doch nicht oder? Man meint gerade es haben noch ein paar, die eh verkaufen wollten, auf neue positive Nachrichten gewartet!! Erklär mir das doch mal einer?
Ich kann mir das nur so erklären, dass hier der ein oder andere die restlichen verunsichern möchte...aber wie weit soll es denn noch runter gehen?

hab schon so oft erlebt, dass einfache Regeln nicht funktionieren. Häufig kam der Anstieg auch erst später. Die Anleger sind einfach so verunsichert...
Der Mut kommt dann erst nach und nach.
Auf jeden Fall sind die News doch ein gutes Zeichen.
Kauft doch einfall alle billig ein, so lange ihr noch könnt.
Naja, aber viele machen das auch nicht, weil sie Angst haben, es könnte nicht mehr steigen. Man verlässt sich auf steigende Kurs, nicht aber auf die News.

vor Freude würde ich, wenn das Ding endlich mal anspringen würde. Am besten wird dann Lv noch mit hoch gezogen. Aber das bleibt wohl wieder eher eine Träumerei. Wie auch immer, heute +23, morgen minus 5, übermorgen -10, über-übermorgen -8....usw. das wird wohl das Ende vom Lied sein.

Durchaus möglich. War ja schon oft so... Daher ist interessant was heute in Can passiert. Gehts nochmal mit ordentlichen Umsätzen hoch ist denke ich wirklich mehr drin. Keine Umsätze oder leicht steigende Kurse heisst so schnell raus wie es nur geht

zu LV:
Longview = Pinetree
Eigentlich gute Geschäftsidee + -aussichten, aber im Augenblick einfach zu riskant und keiner will Sie daher haben  

das hab ich auch gesehen...die hat es ja noch mehr erwischt. Das ist für mich ein LV Indikator. Wenn ich sehen würde dass es bei PT regelmäßig aufwärts geht, dann würde ich bei LV wieder einsteigen.  

leider bin ich in LV immer noch drin... Seit längerem schon...
Bin einfach nach wie vor überzeugt davon, dass OTL oder Nevada Copper oder Buffalo Gold oder oder oder deutlich mehr wert sind, als der Kurs das im Augenblick aussagt

Daher bleibe ich investiert (jetzt is es eigentlich auch schon egal)  

so sehe ich das auch..in LV bin ich auch noch drin. Also warten wir es ab.

ist schon komisch. Irgendwas könnte wirklich im Busch sein. Aber, wie so oft, wieder mal nur für den Moment.

Also irgendwie geht hier ja wirklich was. Zumindest folgt dem Gang nach Norden nicht jedesmal wieder ein Fall nach Süden...ich bin gespannt.

Wohin die Reise geht kann niemand von uns abschätzen!
Meiner persönlichen Meinung nach, wird Longview hier Oriental stark unter die Arme fassen und das Kind schon schaukeln.
Vor 2009 sind hier wohl aber nicht mir prägnanten Nachrichten zu rechnen.
Es ergeben sich derzeit gute Einstiegsmöglichkeiten, aber auch der Totalverlust.

Die letzten Nachrichten haben aber gezeigt...Oriental it nicht tot....
