NEW YORK (AP) _ S&P Global Inc. (SPGI) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $541 million.
The New York-based company said it had net income of $2.20 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $2.53 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.41 per share.
The independent ratings and analytics provider posted revenue of $1.74 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.7 billion.
For the year, the company reported profit of $2.12 billion, or $8.60 per share. Revenue was reported as $6.7 billion.
