Die LetsBuyIt.com N.V. stellte am 8. Februar 2001 durch ihre Rechtsanwälte der Kanzlei Houthoff Buruma, Amsterdam den Antrag auf Aufhebung des am 28. Dezember 2000 beantragten Moratoriums. Diesem Antrag der Gesellschaft wurde heute vom Amtsgericht Amsterdam stattgegeben und das Moratorium mit sofortiger Wirkung aufgehoben.
Nach erfolgreichem Abschluss der letzten Finanzierungsrunde, im Verlauf derer Investorenzusagen von Altgesellschaftern und neuen Kapitalgebern in Höhe von mehr als 52 Millionen Euro gewonnen werden konnten, ist die Gesellschaft hiermit in der Lage, ihre geregelte Geschäftstätigkeit wieder aufzunehmen.
Die Gesellschaft gibt weiterhin bekannt, das alle wesentlichen Restrukturierungsmaßnahmen, so u.a. die Schließung von Büros in sieben Ländern und die Reduzierung der Mitarbeiterzahl von ursprünglich mehr als 350 auf nunmehr circa 150 plangemäß umgesetzt wurden.
Die Gesellschaft beabsichtigt nun umgehend Gläubigerforderungen auszugleichen und die Rückerstattung retournierter beziehungsweise die Lieferung fälliger Kundenbestellungen einzuleiten. Weiterhin plant die Gesellschaft, den regulären Geschäftsbetrieb in Deutschland, England, Frankreich und Schweden innerhalb der kommenden Tage aufzunehmen. Für alle übrigen bisher operativen Länder beabsichtigt die Gesellschaft die Wiederaufnahme des Verkaufsbetriebes auf ihren Websites innerhalb des zweiten Quartals.

On the 8th of February 2001 the law firm Houthoff Buruma, Amsterdam, on behalf of LetsBuyIt.com N.V., applied for the withdrawal of the Moratorium. The Moratorium had been requested on the 28th of December 2000. The district court of Amsterdam followed this request today and lifted the Moratorium with immediate effect.
After the successful completion of the last round of financing, where commitments from existing shareholders and new investors in excess of 52 million Euros have been achieved, the company now is in a position to resume its regular operating business.
The company furthermehr announces that all the essential restructuring activities, including the closure of offices in seven countries and the reduction of headcount of originally over 350 employees to now approximately 150, have been implemented as planned.
The company now intends to settle all creditors demands, to refund customers and to fulfil outstanding orders promptly. Additionally the company intends to resume regular business in Germany, France, Sweden and the United Kingdom during the course of the coming days. For all other former operational countries, the company is planning to resume sales on its websites during the course of the second quarter.
