ITC is the largest independent electric transmission company in the United States. Founded in 2001 and based in Novi, Michigan, the company and its subsidiaries engage in the transmission of electricity in Michigan's lower peninsula and in portions of Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma. It serves investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, power marketers and alternative energy suppliers. The company declared a quarterly dividend of 18.75¢ per share, an increase of 15.38% over the prior quarterly dividend. The dividend is payable 15 September to shareholders of record as on September 1.
