Brasilien: Inflation steigt über 7 Prozent

Rio de Janeiro (BoerseGo.de) - Die Inflation in Brasilien hat sich im Januar beschleunigt. So liegt der Verbraucherpreisindex zu Jahresbeginn bei 7,1 Prozent (im Vergleich zum Vorjahresmonat) und damit über dem dem oberen Rand der Zielspanne der Zentralbank von 6,5 Prozent. Der Anstieg war aufgrund wetterbedingter Faktoren und höherer regulierter Preise erwartet worden.

Es ist nicht auszuschließen, dass die Inflation im Februar sogar noch weiter nach oben geht . Der Preisdruck etwa bei Lebensmitteln und Transport ist hoch. Auch das Risiko von Stromengpässen könnte zunehmen und die Inflation sogar noch mehr nach oben treiben. Dagegen zeigt sich das schwache Wirtschaftswachstum zunehmend auch in der Verlangsamung anderer nachfragegetriebener Inflationskomponenten. Letztlich dürfte die Zentralbank mit weiteren geldpolitischen Schritten abwarten.
