...bedingt wohl, durch die äusserst positiven Nachrichten, die wir vor kurzem vernehmen konnten ist wohl nun klar, diese Mine wird in Betrieb gehen. Das bringt Phantasie in diese Aktie!!!
...anders kann ich mir diesen fulminanten Anstieg nicht erklären. Wir handeln jetzt auf einem anderen Niveau, Großinvestoren haben dieses Projekt als eine interessante Investition erkannt.
Der Kurs hat sich gerade mal eben verdoppelt und die 2 kanadischen Dollar waren auch schon in Reichweite. Das gibt einen Ausblick, wo Niocorp wohl in einem Jahr stehen könnte bzw. wenn die Mine dann in Betrieb geht. ...und nicht vergessen Niocorp hat mit IBC Advanced Alloys ein vertikal integriertes Business und die besten Kontakte zum Verteidungsministerium der USA. Die brauchen die Rohstoffe (Niobium, Skandium, Titanium) die Niocorp fördern wird und eben auch Produkte wie modernste Skandiumaluminiumlegierungen , die zukunftsweisend sind. Betrachtet man dann noch, daß im Elk Creek Projekt auch Seltene Erden in einer Konzentration von bis zu 3 % enthalten sind, kann man einen gedanklichen Brückenschlag machen zu den derzeit wichtigsten zukunftsträchtigsten Unternehmen der USA  (MP Materials, Texas Minerals, Ucore) für die Gewinnung seltener Erden innerhalb der USA. Niocorp wird möglicherweise ein ähnlichen positiven Verlauf an der Börse haben.
Es ist nun nicht mehr unrealistisch, daß die Biden Administration auch einen Beitrag (Teilfinanzierung) zur Entwicklung Niocorps leistet. Die Zukunft wird es ans Tageslicht befördern, bald wissen wir auch mehr wer einen Beitrag zur Finanzierung, das große Finanzpaket leistet.

Ich bin mir sicher NioCorp wird auch Seltene Erden fördern. Seltene Erden sind essentiell für eine Supermacht wie die USA, die im Wettstreit steht mit einem aufstrebenden China was die Gewinnung und Lieferketten Seltener Erden im großen Maße dominiert und somit die Preise dominiert und Abhängigkeiten schafft, die für die USA nicht gewünscht sind und eine Gefahr darstellen. Die Erkundung der Ressourcen der Lokationen Elk Creek und Mountain Pass wurden ursprünglich von Molycorp (heute MP Materials) vor Jahren bereits durchgeführt. Dabei wurden die Gehalte an Seltenen Erden für Mountain Pass auf 5-7 % geschätzt und für Elk Creek auf 3-5 %. Also besteht durchaus die Möglichkeit, dass zukünftig neben Niobium, Scandium und Titanium auch Seltene Erden in der Mine gefördert werden.

Ist es Zufall, daß Mark Smith im Interview diese Möglichkeit als Unterstützung der Initiative von Joe Boden zur Sicherung der Lieferkette für Seltene Erden in den USA sieht? Elk Creek "beherbergt" soviel ich weiß auch die Seltenen Erden Ytrium und Neodymium.

Ich denke es folgen jetzt noch weitere gute Nachrichten in einem kurzweiligen Turnus. :-)

NioCorp To Review Potential of Adding Rare Earths to Its Currently Planned Critical Minerals Product Offering


CENTENNIAL, Colo. – March 2, 2021 – NioCorp Developments Ltd. ("NioCorp" or the "Company") (TSX:NB) (OTCQX:NIOBF) is pleased to announce that it has launched a review of the economic potential of expanding its currently planned product suite from the Elk Creek Superalloy Materials Project (the “Project”) to also include rare earth products.  NioCorp currently plans to produce niobium, scandium, and titanium at the Nebraska-based Project once project financing is secured and the Project is operational, and any rare earth products it might produce would be additional to its currently planned products.

The Company’s review of previously collected data on rare earth content in its Elk Creek Project comes in response to growing interest by governments and industrial consumers around the world for additional sources of rare earths beyond current suppliers.  As noted in more detail below, additional test work is needed to establish a means of recovering and extracting rare earths into saleable products.

The Company has completed a comprehensive geologic and metallurgical evaluation of all of the rare earth data associated with the Project.  Of the 20,364 assay results in the Elk Creek database, 13,287 (65%) contain a complete suite of analytical data for all commercial rare earth elements.  Included within this dataset are 661 assays where the Total Rare Earth Oxide (“TREO”) assay results are greater than one percent.  The table below outlines intervals of interest in particular drill holes

Metallurgical Update

In separate news, NioCorp is pleased to report that its metallurgical testing program continues to show excellent progress in several current areas of focus.
Ongoing testing of Elk Creek Project (“Project”) ore using High-Pressure Grinding Rolls ("HPGR") technology continues to show promising results.  HPGR technology is an energy efficient and low-emission alternative for reducing the size of the ore to enable the recovery of niobium, scandium, titanium, and potential rare earth products.  The use of HPGR in the Project reinforces the Company's commitment to the environment and design for a sustainable operation.  The testing, conducted at the Natural Resources Research Institute (“NRRI”) of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, in partnership with Weir Minerals, is expected to culminate in the preparation of a 3-metric tonne metallurgical sample to be used for flowsheet optimization and rare earth recovery studies.

Process Demonstrated Potential Significant Improvements in Project Energy Efficiency

CENTENNIAL, Colo.  (August 9, 2021) – NioCorp Developments Ltd. ("NioCorp" or the "Company") (TSX:NB) (OTCQX:NIOBF) is pleased to announce the completion of the first phase of testing of Elk Creek Project (“Project”) ore samples using High-Pressure Grinding Rolls (“HPGR”) technology.  Testing confirmed that the ore that NioCorp expects to mine from the Project site, subject to receipt of necessary funding, can be successfully processed using HPGR technology, an energy efficient and low-emission alternative for reducing the size of the ore to enable the recovery of niobium, scandium, titanium, and potential rare earth products.  

The testing was conducted at the Natural Resources Research Institute (“NRRI”) of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, in partnership with Weir Minerals.

Approximately one tonne of Elk Creek drill core was reduced to the one-millimeter size needed for hydrometallurgical testwork. The test program found that the specific energy per tonne of feed processed could be reduced from the previously estimated 4.18 kilowatt-hour (“kWh”) per tonne to 3.06 kWh per tonne.  That represents a 32.5% decrease in the amount of installed power needed for processing, when compared to the previous design basis.

NRRI is currently completing Phase II of the test program, which will provide three tonnes of crushed material suitable for hydrometallurgical testing, which includes optimization of the existing flowsheet and continuation of rare earth recovery test work.

“The results of this testing were very impressive,” said Scott Honan, Chief Operating Officer of NioCorp.  “This program confirmed that our ore is amenable to HPGR technology, and we are pleased to see the reduction in energy consumption.  We look forward to announcing the results of the follow-on work that the material produced at NRRI will facilitate.”
